more on Savage, this is from Bob McGinn

"Just about everyone played well but rookie Darnell Savage (73) probably was most impressive. Small but mighty would be an apt description of his work Thursday night. He showed instincts, quick feet and rapid acceleration, breaking up two passes and missing just one tackle. After not blitzing Savage in the first half Pettine called his number seven times in the second half. The result was 1 ½ pressures. He showed great timing, that quick burst and no hesitation when the linemen came off on him. "

Bulaga is looking like he's in the best shape of his life.  Loose bunch .. team seemed tighter than a drum under McCarthy and loose as a good under LaFleur.

Yeah they never once danced at practice until this year...

C'mon.

Ben Fennell:

Vikings offense looks MUCH improved in trenches

OL improved & mixing up personnel groups.

vs ATL
21p: 13 snaps
12p: 12 snaps
13p: 7 snaps
22p: 7 snaps

Fullback CJ Ham Kyle Rudolph, Irv Smith, Brandon Dillon solid TE group - even without David Morgan (on PUP).

Packers/Vikings matchup will be interesting next week... Packers want to play so much subpackage defense - and they don't have ILBs available. What happens when Vikings want to beef up personnel?
