For whatever reason, he doesn't trust Graham. What Graham did in week 1 should be proof that he's still got ability. Meh, the problem is Graham was pretty bad last year in contested-ball situations. Not sure catching one jump ball on a free play in Week 1 changes that. Right now, Graham doesn't really do anything "well."

Graham does not suck. He sucks at blocking, but he is still more than capable of being an effective receiving option if he was targeted once in a while. Graham has been targeted 6 times. I am judging him by his play, you are judging him by a number. His age, and then comparing that to another number. That is both delusional and ignorant. I would not target someone who can't get open either. Multiplied when he can't meet the demands of timing. Based on his play alone Graham sucks. Add in what we are paying him and he is pathetic. Now, that was what we have seen thus far. Maybe he will surprise us the next few games. Then we can re-evaluate, based on his play. Not on a number. You do better off with the possibility of a penalty just by forcing the punter to keep his net yardage around 45 with the threat of a blocked return. Why teams aren't telling players that they are absolutely under no circumstances to do anything questionable from a blocking perspective, I don't know. Great point, you are 100% correct. But man, if only you could make your guys do it penalty-free, it would sure help. I think the big problem with ST, as you've alluded to, is that coaches want to make big plays; receivers want to make big plays and take too many risks; and the other guys get too juiced up and try to hard to do something impactful and getting some coach's notice. Just being conservative and playing it cool and safe on teams isn't going to get anybody's attention; and when it's the only chance you get to play, I can see how they'd get all fired up and amped up and try too hard and end up making the obnoxious penalties as a result. How much separation do you think a top 16 tight end gets on average? They’re tight ends. They need contested targets to be effective. Randall Cobb for the Cowboys right now is averaging 3.9 yards of separation. 3.9 yards. Think about that ****. He led the league in yards of separation in 2015 and how often did Rodgers throw to him? You’re all basing your bull**** opinions on receivers based on television broadcasts without knowing what in the damn hell youre even talking about.

This has nothing to do with you saying: “He's open a hell of a lot more than you think.“ So he’s open a lot or he has to make a lot of contested catches?
