Portland extends the contract of TE Mark Andrews at 100%

He's still on his rookie deal so unfortunately cannot be extended to avoid being an RFA. He will be an RFA for you next year unless he signs an extension before our RFA period happens next season.

Restricted Free Agents (RFA)

Players with 3 years of league experience with expiring contracts become restricted free agents: each owner has a chance to tag a player with a pick of its choice (from a 1st rounder to a 7th). If another owner wishes to sign the player, they have to make an offer that the owner of the player won’t match and give him the pick with which the player was tagged.

Players who would otherwise be RFA during the offseason cannot be 3 upped for a single year.

  • Qualifying Tender Offers:

1st Round - $3,500

2nd Round - $3,000

3rd Round - $2,500
4th Round - $2,000
5th Round - $1,500
6th Round - $1,250
7th Round - $1,000

  • Matching or Declining the tender offer sheet

    • Teams will have 24 hours depending on our schedule to determine if they “match or decline” the proposed contract offer.

      • Matching the offer sheet means you accept to pay the player the exact same deal of the offer sheet.

      • Declining sends the player to the new team under the terms of the contract and the old team receives the compensation.

Note: A team must have at least a current year 1st round draft pick in order to bid on a player tendered that amount. If not then that team’s bid is invalid.
