Dude has more pull and credibility than Grossi. Just from his playing days. Now add in his experience of being a play by play guy where he sits and talks to other reporters and what not and with his show. 
 

people are going to talk to Fox a lot more than Grossi

Kevin O'Connell took the Washington job because he's going to be able to call plays as OC for Rivera.

McDaniels is not giving up play-calling duties.

I'm not sure why that fact has been missed in the whole "Kevin O'Connell to Washington means no McDaniels" thing.

The Rams newly hired DC was also not going to serve in a DC role on McDaniels staff.

He doesn’t break anything. Ever. Just goes along with what everyone is already saying. He’s a joke.

I was wrong. My bad.

Misread that he finalized the contract with Washington.

O'Connell has been connected to McDaniels via connect the dots. Given the surprising nature of Boy Blunder's previous coaching hires, his OC top choice may have been someone else anyway. 

We shall see.
