Once locked, you can only get out of the kart with a key. You will all lineup on the course and take off. You must complete 5 laps around the track. Whoever finishes in first will receive the key, last and next to last will be up for "eviction". Pick your kart from the ones below. You will have until Tuesday at 8 pm to select your kart via pm to me. Once you select your kart you will not be able to change. (NOTE: I have not tested this game so some karts may be better than others) Mario Lap time: 60 seconds Special abilities: none Luigi Lap time: 62 seconds Special abilities: will reflect the first powerup used against him to the player behind him that is unaffected by the powerup (randomized if players are tied) Peach Lap time: 63 seconds Special abilities: each glancing blow will only take 2 seconds to recover Yoshi Lap time: 63 seconds Special abilities: can turn a power up into a double once during the game. Bowser Lap time: 65 seconds Special abilities: immune to the first death each lap. The course has been laid out with 4 checkpoints on the course. At each checkpoint there will be a widowmaker released at random heights (low, medium, high). You will have decide whether to do nothing, eat a mushroom which shrinks you, or use your retro rockets to jump. Nothing - cannot dodge the widowmaker at all. Will take 3 seconds to recover from a high or low widowmaker as they are glancing blows and 5 seconds for medium level widowmaker, because it is a full hit. Eat a mushroom and shrink - will dodge a high widowmaker, receives a 3 second recovery time for a medium widowmaker and 5 seconds for a low widowmaker Use retro rockets to jump - will dodge a low widow maker, receive a 3 second recovery time for a medium widowmaker and a 5 second recover time for a high widowmaker Now for the fun, there are powerups on the course that each of you will receive. You can choose to use them or hold it. You may use the powerups at the start of each checkpoint (round) but once you use it, it will be gone until you get your next powerup. If you have the powerup when you run over another powerup you will lose it and receive another one. The powerups are located between the starting/finish line, so you will have them at the first checkpoint on each lap. The powerups available are below. The powerups will be randomized and pm'd to you after you have selected your kart. 1. Red Shell (Triple Pack) Shoot a triple pack of red shells out in front of you. The shells are heat seaking and will blow up the first 3 players they come to on the track. It takes 5 seconds to recover from their damage. If in first they will shoot behind you. If players are tied, will randomize. 2. Blue Shell Shoot a heat seeking blue shell that will travel to the player in first and blow them up along with anyone within 2 seconds of them. If in first this will head to the player in second (can blow yourself up if you are within 2 seconds of the player). It will take 5 seconds to recover from a blue shell death 3. Star The star makes you impervious to death for a short while (from 1 checkpoint to the next). 4. Mushroom Eating the mushroom will give you a speed of burst allowing you to gain 5 seconds 5. Giant Mushroom Makes you impervious to death for a short while (from 1 checkpoint to the next) and gives you a speed of burst allowing you to gain 2 seconds 6. Lightning Bolt Fry ever other player in the game with a bolt of lightning. It will take 5 seconds to recover from the damage Rules: 1. No working with others at all for this comp 2. Choose your Kart (deadline Tuesday by 8 pm eastern) 3. Once your kart is chosen you will be given your powerups 4. For the checkpoints and finish line, submit whether you want to do nothing, shrink, or jump 5. Tell me when you want to use your powerups for each lap.
