DRAFT

Round 1

  1. Cincinnati Bengals select Joe Burrow, QB, LSU

  2. Washington Redskins select Chase Young, Edge, Ohio State

  3. Los Angeles Chargers (f/Detroit) select Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama

  4. New York Giants select Tristan Wirfs, OT, Iowa

  5. Miami Dolphins select Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon

  6. Detroit Lions (f/ LAC) select Jeffrey Okudah, CB, Ohio State

  7. Carolina Panthers select Derrick Brown, DT, Auburn

    • Close call between Brown and Simmons. It seems to me that Brown is the odds on favorite looking at other mocks.

  8. Arizona Cardinals select Mekhi Becton, OT, Louisville

  9. Jacksonville Jaguars select Javon Kinlaw, DT, South Carolina

    • Jaguars were hot on the heels of a defensive tackle this offseason. They get one in Kinlaw.

  10. Cleveland Browns select Isaiah Simmons, LB/S, Clemson

    • Browns are known potential trade partners for Trent Williams. If an elite talent like Simmons falls, they could address the tackle spot by trading their second-round pick for Williams.

  11. Denver Broncos (f/New York Jets) select Henry Ruggs, WR, Alabama

    • Broncos trade up to grab the draft's preeminent speed receiver to pair with Lock and Sutton.

  12. Dallas Cowboys (f/Las Vegas) select CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma

    • 3 receiver sets are a staple of McCarthy's offense last we saw him. More importantly, the move is box-office.

  13. San Francisco 49ers select Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama

    • With Sanders gone, the 49ers fill a void at receiver after Samuel.

  14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Jedrick Wills, OT, Alabama

  15. New York Jets (f/Denver) select CJ Henderson, CB, Florida

    • Jets trade back and address the most glaring need on the roster.

  16. Jacksonville Jaguars (f/Atlanta) select Justin Jefferson, WR, LSU

    • Daniel Jeremiah reported that the draft's top 4 receivers are virtually crystallized. I suspect the Jaguars trade up a bit to get ahead of the Raiders to nab the 4th guy on the list.

  17. Minnesota Vikings (f/Las Vegas) select Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia

    • Rumor has it that the Vikings are interested in trading for Trent Williams. If the Vikings are within striking distance to grab a falling talent like Thomas, I suspect they try to trade up as they do here.

  18. Miami Dolphins select Josh Jones, OT, Houston

  19. Las Vegas Raiders select AJ Terrell, CB, Clemson

  20. Atlanta Falcons (f/Jacksonville) select Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma

  21. Jacksonville Jaguars (f/Philadelphia) select K’Lavon Chaisson, Edge, LSU

    • With the Jaguars trading Ngakuoe in this mock and cutting Campbell, they choose to add pass rush prowess before drafting a corner.

  22. Las Vegas Raiders (f/Minnesota) select Jalen Reagor, WR, TCU

  23. New England Patriots select Jalen Hurts, QB, Oklahoma

    • This is a hunch, but I suspect Josh McDaniels still isn't sold that he made a mistake in drafting Tim Tebow during his time in Denver. I could envision the Patriots going all-in on a run-based offense to pair with Bill's stifling defense.

  24. New Orleans Saints select Patrick Queen, LB, LSU

  25. Minnesota Vikings select Jaylon Johnson, CB, Utah

  26. Miami Dolphins select Isaiah Wilson, OT, Georgia

  27. Seattle Seahawks select Ezra Cleveland, OT, Boise State

    • Seattle is known for taking players with elite athletic profiles. Cleveland profiles as one of the most athletic tackles to ever enter the draft.

  28. Baltimore Ravens select Zach Baun, Edge/LB, Wisconsin

  29. Tennessee Titans select Austin Jackson, OT, USC

  30. Green Bay Packers select Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona State

  31. Carolina Panthers (f/San Francisco) select Jordan Love, QB, Utah State

    • Panthers trade up to grab a quarterback and a 5th-year option. There is some speculation that the Panthers are trying to get in position to draft Lawrence, but their offseason moves suggest otherwise.

  32. Kansas City Chiefs select Yetur Gross-Matos, Edge, Penn State

Round 2

  1. Atlanta Falcons (f/Cincinnati) select Jeff Gladney, CB, TCU

    • Atlanta has a glaring need at corner and they aren't in a great spot to draft one at value in the middle of the first round. A trade up seemed appropriate here.

  2. Indianapolis Colts select Laviska Shenault, WR, Colorado

  3. Detroit Lions select AJ Epenesa, DL, Iowa

  4. Buffalo Bills (f/NYG) select Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin

    • Bills trade up ahead of the Chargers to grab a falling Taylor to pair with Singletary.

  5. Los Angeles Chargers select D’Andre Swift, RB, Georgia

  6. San Francisco 49ers (f/Carolina) select Antoine Winfield Jr., S, Minnesota

  7. Miami Dolphins Xavier McKinney, S, Alabama

  8. Houston Texans select Ross Blacklock, DT, TCU

  9. Washington Redskins (f/Cleveland) select Denzel Mims, WR, Baylor

  10. Jacksonville Jaguars select Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU

  11. Chicago Bears select Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama

  12. Indianapolis Colts select Cole Kmet, TE, Notre Dame

  13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers select KJ Hamler, WR, Penn State

  14. Denver Broncos select Cesar Ruiz, OL, Michigan

  15. Las Vegas Raiders (f/Cincinnati; Atlanta) select Michael Pittman, WR, USC

    • With the last two premier big receiving options dwindling, the Raiders trade ahead of the Jets to get their choice of big man.

  16. New York Jets select Tee Higgins, WR, Clemson

  17. Pittsburgh Steelers select Jacob Eason, QB, Washington

    • I find it hard to imagine the Steelers say no to taking a premier QB talent knowing Big Ben's days are numbered and what they have in Rudolph.

  18. Chicago Bears select Lucas Niang, OL, TCU

  19. Cincinnati Bengals (f/Las Vegas; Dallas) select Lloyd Cushenberry, OL, LSU

  20. Los Angeles Rams select Jeremy Chinn, LB/S, Southern Illinois

  21. Philadelphia Eagles select Grant Delpit, S, LSU

  22. New York Giants (f/Buffalo) select Amik Robertson, CB, Louisiana Tech

  23. Baltimore Ravens select Jordan Elliot, DL, Missouri

  24. Miami Dolphins select JK Dobbins, RB, Ohio State

  25. Los Angeles Rams select Alton Robinson, Edge, Syracuse

  26. Minnesota Vikings select Van Jefferson, WR, Florida

  27. Seattle Seahawks select Cameron Dantzler, CB, Mississippi State

  28. Baltimore Ravens select Chase Claypool, TE/WR, Notre Dame

  29. Tennessee Titans select Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, LSU

  30. Green Bay Packers select Logan Wilson, LB, Wyoming

  31. Kansas City Chiefs select Bryce Hall, CB, Virginia

  32. Seattle Seahawks select Terrell Lewis, Edge, Alabama

Round 3

  1. Cincinnati Bengals select Harrison Bryant, TE, FAU

  2. Washington Redskins select Robert Hunt, OL, Louisiana-Lafayette

  3. Detroit Lions select John Simpson, OL, Clemson

  4. New York Jets select Julian Okwara, Edge, Notre Dame

  5. Carolina Panthers select Malik Harrison, LB, Ohio State

  6. Miami Dolphins select Marlon Davidson, DL, Auburn

  7. Detroit Lions (f/LAC) select Neville Gallimore, DT, Oklahoma

  8. Arizona Cardinals select Terrell Burgess, S, Utah

  9. Jacksonville Jaguars select Hunter Bryant, TE, Washington

  10. Cleveland Browns select Kyle Duggar, S, Lenoir-Rhyne

  11. Indianapolis Colts select Noah Igbinoghene, CB, Auburn

  12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Darrynton Evans, RB, Appalachian State

  13. New York Jets (f/Denver) select Devin Asiasi, TE, UCLA

  14. Atlanta Falcons select Raekwon Davis, DL, Alabama

  15. New York Jets select Jordan Brooks, LB, Texas Tech

  16. Dallas Cowboys (f/Las Vegas) select Anfernee Jennings, Edge, Alabama

  17. Las Vegas Raiders select Ashytn Davis, S, California

  18. Dallas Cowboys select Justin Madubuike, DT, Texas A&M

  19. Denver Broncos select Cam Akers, RB, Florida State

  20. Los Angeles Rams select Tyre Phillips, OL, Mississippi State

  21. Detroit Lions select Antonio Gandy-Golden, WR, Liberty

  22. New York Giants (f/Buffalo) select Bryan Edwards, WR, South Carolina

  23. New England Patriots select Jabari Zuniga, Edge, Florida State

  24. New Orleans Saints select Jake Fromm, QB, Georgia

    • I'm still not convinced the Saints view Taysom Hill as a true successor to Brees. Fromm provides at least some insurance if the Hill project goes sideways.

  25. Minnesota Vikings select Jonathan Greenard, Edge, Florida

  26. Houston Texans select Adam Trautman, TE, Dayton

  27. Las Vegas Raiders select Josh Uche, Edge/LB, Michigan

  28. Baltimore Ravens select Gabriel Davis, WR, UCF

  29. Tennessee Titans select Tyler Johnson, WR, Minnesota

  30. Green Bay Packers select Albert Okwuegbunam, TE, Missouri

  31. New York Jets (f/Denver) select Saahdiq Charles, OL, LSU

  32. Kansas City Chiefs select Troy Dye, LB, Oregon

  33. Cleveland Browns select Shane Lemieux, OL, Oregon

  34. New England Patriots select Lynn Bowden, WR, Kentucky

  35. New York Giants select Willie Gay Jr., LB, Mississippi State

  36. New England Patriots select Jason Strowbridge, DL, North Carolina

  37. Seattle Seahawks select Isaiah Hodgins, WR, Oregon State

  38. Pittsburgh Steelers select Zach Moss, RB, Utah

  39. Philadelphia Eagles select Quintez Cephus, WR, Wisconsin

  40. Los Angeles Rams select Devin Duvernay, WR, Texas

  41. Minnesota Vikings select Julian Blackmon, S, Utah

  42. Baltimore Ravens select AJ Dillon, RB, Boston College

Round 2:
56. Miami Dolphins select JK Dobbins, RB, Ohio State
Round 3:
76. Tampa Bay Buccaneers select JK Dobbins, RB, Ohio State.

-----------------------

Don't think Dobbins can be drafted twice. ;) Small oops, bud.
But, I like the pick in R2:56 for MIA. Tampa may not have him. haha! :)

as for the MIA draft, I can be onboard with this one.
But, if I had my druthers, R1:26.... I think MIA likes Cleveland moreso than Wilson if they were doubling down on OT, but think the better approach is:
- R1:18 - Josh Jones/OT
- R1:26 - Xavier McKinney/S
- R2:39 - Cesar Ruiz/C
- R2:56 - JK Dobbins/RB

Not sure i'd take that trade at 33 if i'm the Bengals.  The 3rd next year probably puts that over the top, except I don't think the Bengals would pass on Epenesa and/or Mims.  Then at 47, I don't think they'd pass on Higgins for another 5th rd pick.  Bryant is a terrible pick in rd 3.

1. Joe Burrow
33. AJ Epenesa
65. Willie Gay

or

1. Joe Burrow
47. Tee Higgins
65. Willie Gay

Thank you.

So, I don't think Blacklock fits what the Texans do on defense - the Texans need a plugger run defender at NT, and Blacklock seems like he's a penetrating 3-tech.

Given how the board has played out, Denzel Mims or Trevon Diggs makes more sense.

I get the choice of Jeudy altough with Wills and Thomas still on the board i think personally i would prefer to go that route with an aging Staley and this class being so deep at WR. Honestly don't understand the Winfield pick. I get him being picked around there but really S isn't a need and especially with guys like Blacklock still on the board that would be a really puzzling move.
