I dunno, he is a solid bench player and his contract is still better than many others, plus it only has 2 years on it so it's not like you are getting something completely horrid.  Considering teh Cavs are strongly trying to shop him though teams might wait it out till they get offered the asset.

paying a guy that sucks 20 mill over 2 years is pretty horrid. especially since no one has cap space.

Definitely a problem. But you could add LeBron to the list as long as he doesn't have to guard a legit scoring threat with Crowder. Now he will be able to roam around and cause havoc that way.

Not like the guys Cleveland last from last season could play defense either. Now they are just a lot deeper and could withstand an injury or two.

He's not that bad, he definitely wasn't good last year, but the two years prior he looked good in his role as a bench 3 and D guy.  Not sure if last year was more where there entire team looked like it took step back or what.  Also numerous teams have cap space.

So are they starting Wade/Crowder/Lebron/Love/Thompson

or will D Rose start in place of Crowder?

Drose will start. Wade will have to come off the bench. JR will start. When Thomas comes back who knows. Depends on the egos. Crowder starting or not doesn't matter. He'll play when we need him. Great pick up for us.

Man as much as I love kyrie, he may have helped us improve.

I remember a thread in the NFL section a few years ago - which team would be the best if every player was in their prime.

Denver Broncos were basically the greatest team of all time under that scenario. Players like Manning, Ware, Mathis, Davis who if in their prime put together with the younger stars like Harris, Von Miller Talib would have gone 16-0.

2017- 18 Cavs looks like an even better example of this.

Prime Bron (whichever one that is) together with 2011 Rose, 2009. Wade, Minnesota Kevin Love, 2016 Issiah Thomas,  a slightly younger Kyle Corver and Richard Jefferson and the rest of the current team, would be a 70-2 team.
