Basham would have came in and immediately been able to compete for a starting job. But instead Rick just takes the conservative approach and now they likely will trade back or settle for a backup option. I think hes a good GM, but sometimes he needs to sense things better & be aggressive in trading up. Instead of worrying about how he can trade back and get more late round picks.
