I use chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and chorizo, so I don't actually put any chili powder in mine. Just cumin, white pepper, and paprika, as far as spices go. If I'm adding dried chilis, it's as a paste after I rehydrate some guajillos. There are other people who put chorizo in chili!! You're a brilliant man!

You're damn right it is. I didn't think this was that common. I always use chorizo, ground turkey (sirloin if I'm feeling fancy and like a baller), and mushrooms which people find odd. Everything else is a variable dependent on how I'm feeling.

Are you in the Washington/Oregon area? Can't find these in my area. Had them in Oregon a few years back. They are bomb.

I thought cherry season was a little later than this? IIRC, it interferes with watermelon season, which is why I can't fully partake. Starting in late July, pretty much 100% of my (culinary) fruit intake is gonna be watermelon.

I think it runs through end of June or maybe a little into July? I didn't Google it. Just remembering that they still had them fresh when we were in Oregon in late June a few years ago. Eh, Cherries are now in my local grocery stores. A quick Google Search shows me the Pacific NW's Cherry season starts first week of June. Not sure what is like in other less great areas of the world. I usually consider cherry season to be when they're on sale in grocery stores.

11sanchez11
I thought this would be an easy fruit choice all the way. Then ppl brought up garlic, onion, and potatoes and those three could probably win this for veggies on their own.
