This sounds like Houston is trying to duck the cap, which means we aren't going to see any Harden or Westbrook trades.

We are trying to undo the damage that Morey and Dantoni did. They traded our starting center for Covington. Now we’ve traded Covington in order to have the 9 million MLE to sign a starting center.

Very interested in seeing what the Warriors do with the trade exception. They don't have a starting caliber SG right now and they needed wings even before Klay got hurt. They can take on Eric Gordon but do you really want the next three years of his contract after this year. JJ Redick could also be another option gives you shooting, but can you leave him out there in the 4th qtr with 5 minutes left and trust him on defense. Best case might be getting Avery Bradley on the MLE and then using the trade exception on kelly oubre who then can come off the bench.

Wanted to be so happy about getting Wiseman, but the Klay news yesterday really rained on the parade

I think you can add someone like Redick now that you have legitimate rim protection with Wiseman at the 5.

there is like 3 teams with cap space so a lot of these players will be going to good teams for cheap, hopefully for only 1 year before teams have cap space again next year

I read that most guys would look to sign 1+1 deals with player options so they can hit the market again next offseason depending on how this year plays out.
