At this point, I'm guessing McClain is parroting Berman, who now has the faster contacts in the building.

I've long suspected John McClain was so dialed in because he was a sounding board for former Texans President Jamey Rootes - now that Rootes is gone, McClain doesn't have the fastball he used to have when it comes to the Texans. This being said, he knows who IS getting inside information.

Berman, Wilson and McClain - this might be something.

cant wait to trade watson for a first and a second round pick

Oof, you're optimistic. Given Caserio's track record, we're getting Salvon Ahmed, Greg Little, Greg Mancz and a 5th round pick for Watson.

Seeing as they dont currently have a 1st round pick, they probably have to get one some how.

They have the 49ers 1st round for the next three years. The real question is would Tua even get a 1st or would it be more of a 2nd rounder at this point? Or would the Texans take Tua and have a deal to flip him ourselves?

Tau would be a fantastic image rebuild QB for you guys. As far as I know, anyways, Tau is considered a class act. Who knows if he has skeletons.

Plus he has to be better than Davis Mills, right?

At this point, why would the Texans flip him to begin with? The Texans are one good Davis Mills sack from going to Jeff Driskel, and with Laremy Tunsil out, that sack has a very high chance of happening.

Mills and Tua competing for the starting job next season is actually a better QB situation than depending on any of the QBs in this draft class (or the 2023 class, tbh).
