Why should my S20 squad play any role (let alone the majority) in the rankings this year? Did you see my squad last year? A college team would've beat it. Stick to running pwny's. Why are you mad at me that you made a crappy team last year? If you don't like it, then ignore it and create your own rankings I never saw you as such a horrific whiner

But for the record, I am so mad I built a crappy team last year. I thought surely by trading away all my draft picks for future picks would result in back to back championships. I never saw that disaster of a year happening. Bad luck. I was just pointing out what I view as flaws in using it in a league where the roster turnover is 75% +. It's just my own opinions. Others seem to enjoy it. You didn't create the logic - you're just applying it. No need to take it so personal.

You didn't create the logic - you're just applying it. No need to take it so personal. The amount that I discounted it from post season S20 to preseason S21 was larger than the amount 538 does for the NFL That was the attempt to account for the high turnover. Last season was wonky because people did outlandish things (not targeting you - several people made choices with their picks that they otherwise would not have). I don't know why I should change everything and tune it up by numerous factors just because one owner did a tank harder than historical examples making their starting point out of line. I could start it at 1,500 for this season, but that's not the point of how its supposed to work. If you have a worse team in one season, the model assumes that you are carrying over a worse team. Literally every week the effect lessens because your starting point was lower. Therefore you either get more points for winning, or lose fewer points for losing, because you are viewed in the model as more of an underdog than you should be. It works itself out over time. Records and points are posted on the front page and the stat page. This is simply an attempt to do something additional.
Tk3
I agree that the PWNY is the prime metric. Especially since it has the historical component that compares over the history of the league. In the past @pwny has done the PWNY and I just decide to do something different for something to do and for an additional piece of talking point in the downtime between the weeks If people don't like it I can pick up the PWNY if @pwny is not going to be paying attention or wanting to keep tabs on the league

If I did it anymore, it would at most be at the end of the season or even just annually, just to make sure the data is recorded. But I won't be doing weekly rankings or anything like that. If I had that kind of time and energy to devote to the league anymore, I'd still have my team.

bucsfan333
Yeah. My defense got ******* rekt. I couldn't stop a damn thing. AND my special teams gave up a TD.
Malfatron
I like those rankings much better. i do feel like an 8th ranked team, and not a 1st. my defense got torched for 3 tds by cousins, and I needed all of that 40 points to win. Thankfully i drafted this guy Jamal Agnew [1 GS]: 8 returns for 209 yards (26.12 YPR, 83 LNG), 1 touchdown. Malfatron
Im going to make a power ranking metric that focuses on efficiency. Lets see how things shake up. Formula: ( 10 x YPC (offense) + Passer Rating (offense) + 2 X Avg Pts/Game Scored) – (10 X OPP YPC (defense) + OPP Passer Rating (defense)+ 2 X OPP Avg Pts/Game)
