Love this deal. Young and hungry for another deal, so motivation is built in. A BIG time need even as a pass rush specialist. Keeps Crosby fresh and motivated to get as many snaps as possible. Love the contract and the scheme fit. Win/Win for all involved and only costs money, not draft picks.

He was basically the exact same as he was in JAX (good pass rusher, not trusted in running situations), just a bit more unlucky so the sack numbers weren't quite there.

I assume they just got him to kick Ferrell in the butt and make him produce more.  Yannick can get after the passer and get some sacks but is not very good against the run.  Decent pass rusher but not sure he is worth that much money.  And does say kind of a lot the Vikings traded for him then got rid of him in the same season and the Ravens who just lost their best pass rusher in Judon did not sign him either after having him for just a bit.  So that says a lot as well but does fill a need and again gives Ferrell a possible kick in the butt.

He's best off being a designated pass rusher.  Absolute trash as run defense but he's a good strip sack artist

He can definitely get there. I can't count how many times he missed a strip sack by inches. He's a one trick pony but the trick works well at times. Runs by the tackle a lot. QB releases before he makes it back. He could be good for you guys.

Some insights on Yann.

I actually do agree with this thinking, but im thinking numbers game and if Nassib stays I dont see how Key can stick around and im sure the Raiders are not done at pass rusher which can add another in FA or the draft. I just think the odds of him sticking on the team are not that great, but do agree on the role if he does.

We do not have anyone that fits that role currently so I would expect it to come down to Gus.
