Drafting a wide receiver!

Probably only room for 1 on the roster this year, but next year appears to be a deep WR draft as well

It’s going to be that way for awhile because of how football is changing in college and high school.

You’re going to see weaker RB classes, terrible DT classes, and bad LB classes unless you’re drafting JOK types. Unless you’re a pass rusher or CB, you probably aren’t worth drafting defensively.

IDK you still have to draft LBs to have a constant influx of cheap labor at the position.  We drafted Jacob Phillips last year, and will probably take another LB again this year at some point.  You have to keep adding cheap players there, because there are not going to be many 2nd contract guys unless they're bargains.

This draft is really going to tell me a lot. They’re not picking for need, but want. What type of team does Depo + Berry want?

If they pick a WR, it’s obvious they want to be a high octane offense. We’ve spent a ton of money on offense, so this isn’t a crazy idea. Berry and Grigson got their starts in Indy. That franchise was built around scoring as many points as possible and having 2 HOF pass rushers.

Lately there have been some discussions about when, if, and who the Browns are going to draft a WR due to the fact they have 30M tied up in OBJ and Landry.  Some advocate trading up because this year’s draft is super strong at WR while others believe they can get starting caliber WR in 2-3 round.  Yet some believe we have 6 WR’s already (OBJ, Landry, Higgins,Hodge, Jones, and Natson) and no need.  My belief is Browns will go CB first and WR second unless they trade OBJ or Ndjoku.  If they do use a high pick on WR they might let Landry go. Some believe they will make moves to get a 1 or 2 next year for a WR.  With the best roster Browns have ever had there is much speculation about the draft.  How important do you think WR is for us in this draft?

Do not know if it happens but like your Endurance

When AB talked about looking at the draft as a long term solution rather than filling an immediate need, WR was the first position that came to mind.

This draft is deep with WR that offer speed or some other area of excellence that would benefit Stefanski's offense.  There are likely to be multiple options at every pick.

Probably only room for 1 on the roster this year, but next year appears to be a deep WR draft as well.

This is the exact reasoning I think we’re going to go center a lot higher than we think.

It is not unreasonable.

I mean with Tretters contract, Bitonios age and Tellers contract I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't add 2 interior OL in this class. A depth piece in the middle and then another developmental guy late.

Keep a strength a strength, yo

With Stefanskis system, the Browns are always going to need to run the ball and protect their franchise QB. Without a good OL the system doesn't run. Keep investing.

While I agree a succession plan for those spots would be nice, it may already be in place.

While it wouldn’t shock me if they chose to invest a day 2/3 pick on the IOL, I also wouldn’t be shocked if they feel comfortable with Drew Forbes returning as a potential G and Harris as the center.  I think we all saw that Harris needed to work on his body a good bit, but if he has they may view him as a guy they still like for ‘22.

I’d like to see a tackle taken personally as other than Hubbard, who’s gone after this season most likely, there’s a whole lot of unproven nothing.
