Would be completely in character to fall in love with Jones while considering pick number 12 and then ask just how high he would have to go to ensure getting him, Presto - trade up to 3. Ehhhh I disagree, I would think Shannahan would figure that players like Lance and Fields would get drafted before Jones, because that is the QB trend everyone is seeing. Then, Kyle thinking that he is a genius, would think “ I will let people grab these guys and I will take the one no one wants because I can make him the best and he is perfect for my scheme (Jones)”, I don’t think he would wanna move up to #3 and give up what they gave up when he could have gotten him at #6. but then again, we are trying to jump into someone else’s head, so we could be very wrong Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He did bring up a good point about the whole why it shouldn't be Mac thing that I hadn't heard or put together before. I think Kyle truly believes Jimmy's biggest issue is his brain. He doesn't think he needs a superstar to be a Superbowl champion. But It's his ego. Heck no No one is ever going to be able to do that,. Flash for you Shanny (and everyone who thinks Jones is the best fit for Shanny's offense) - Football evolves. Right now it is in the midst of one of the biggest changes we've seen in a couple decades,. If Shanny thinks Jones is Brees, he might be looking for the wrong guy, I loved Brees. That being said, we did call about 4,5 and 6 as well if reports are accurate. I certainly wouldn't have made my move so early if my target was Mac. He had just had a rather underwhelming pro day throwing the ball, I don't know where the fire would come from for him. There wasn't any real driving action for him. My first thought was for Lance.
