Tim Patrick had more 100+ yard receiving games than MVS, Lazard and St. Brown had last year.....combined. With Drew Lock and not Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball.

lol

what a cherry-picked stat

Lazard and St. Brown were injured most of the year

MVS had games of 85, 87 and 96 yds (and 3 TDs) that aren't included in your arbitrary 100 yd cut-off. Tim Patrick had zero games between 61 and 100 yds receiving.

just stop with this nonsense

Tim Patrick would step in from day 1 and be better than Allison, MVS, Lazard and St. Brown and whatever other mediocre WRs the Packers have been kicking around there for the last 5 years.

bad takes are just ......well bad

Thats because Tim Patrick finally got a chance to start last year when Sutton went down. He was buried on the roster as a UDFA until then so looking at his stats from 2-3 years ago dont tell the story of how good he was once he got the snaps.

lol

"my guy was sitting behind another player so that should be excused"

meanwhile...

you use a GB player being on IR against them in an argument

just put the shovel down and admit that Tim Patrick is a JAG and offers nothing more than GB already has rostered...

THen why is A-Rod bitchin' and wanting out so bad he's wants to do it publically ?

He wants our GM fired because he wasn't consulted before we picked Love or other personnel moves he didn't like, cutting Kumerow for instance.

Your vastly overrating MVS. He had 690 receiving yards as the WR2 in a Aaron Rodgers led offense. That right there tells you all you need to know about how good he is.

He is a 1 trick pony WR with incredibly shaky hands.

You realize your HOF and franchise QB is begging to leave the team because the FO refuses to put any sort of talent on the offense besides Adams/Jones right? The WRs you are lobbying for is one of the reasons Aaron Rodgers wants to be traded.

Why are we arguing about this? Tim Patrick fits our mold, if he was a throw in for a Rodgers deal, fine. He'd battle with ESB and Funch for a roster spot.

we're arguing it because you need to be prepared for someone to disagree with your point above. Tim Patrick absolutely would be in the mix for that last spot. He wouldn't tip the scales one way or another in a trade. Adding him to an existing package wouldn't change a "no" to a "yes" from our front office.

dude... it's the WR YOU ARE LOBBYING FOR that we are saying isn't very good lol

(because he's not any better than what GB has on the roster)

what is confusing here for you?

Tim Patrick is a nice WR.   Does he move the needle on a trade package from Denver to acquire Rodgers?

Never said he did, I am simply saying that he could easily be your WR2 if he were received as a part of a package because thats how low I feel about the Packers WRs outside of Adams.

There's two firsts and the #9 pick in that package, along with another potential QB option in lieu of Love if it didn't work out. Who cares about Tim Patrick? He's not in there to move a needle. He's a 6'4 WR that ran in the 4.4s, why not toss him in?

This whole narrative that "the Packers aren't giving Rodgers any help" is ridiculous.  Every year, we always get to hear the excuses from Rodgers fans for why it wasn't his fault the Packers just got bounced from the playoffs again.

For years, those excuses were always "if only the Packers would support him with having a good defense like Tom Brady has had...blah, blah, blah."

Well, nine out of the last 10 years, the Packers have attempted to improve their defense because Rodgers didn't have what it took to win with the defense they had.  They are still losing in the playoffs, and IMO, Rodgers definitely needs to share some of the blame for that.

Now, the newest excuse we're hearing from the Rodgers camp is that "the Packers haven't given him any help on offense."  To that I say, if you are being paid 12, 14, 16% of the salary cap, there is only so much a team can do to help you.  If you are making that much money, the time is going to come when YOU have to step up and actually earn that money.  It's not enough to earn the paycheck in the regular season when half of your games are against weak teams.  If you want to be thought of as one of the best to ever play the game, then YOU have to come through and elevate the rest of your team (like Tom Brady does) to rise above the competition.

Rodgers needs to quit making excuses.  Over the years we have heard excuses and blame put on all of the following:

- his predecessor
- his defense
- his receivers
- his running backs
- his offensive line
- his head coach
- his GM
- his front office

What I find very interesting is that during his time as the starting QB in Green Bay, every single one of the things on the list above has been completely replaced.  The ONLY constant during that time has been Aaron Rodgers.  Maybe the time needs to come where people quit making excuses for this guy and admit that he just isn't as good as they want to think he is.

Rodgers needs to quit whining, carrying grudges, and acting like a petulant little child.  He has been paid more than just about any other player who has ever stepped on the field.  He has been given different supporting casts, different coaches, and a different GM.  The Green Bay Packers have been VERY good to him.

Aaron, shut up and go play some football, or get out of the game.
