Gruden has assembled the oldest 53-man roster in the NFL in years. Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com, who has been calculating the average age of every opening-day NFL roster in 2012, reports that the Raiders’ average age of 27.4 years is the oldest roster as far back as his records go. vike daddy
This year, the Bills find themselves in a somewhat unique position. According to the Buffalo News, the Bills have $53.9 million in cap space devoted to players no longer on the team. That translates to 30.4 percent of the $177.2 million available per team. The bulk of that comes from former Bills defensive tackle Marcel Dareus, who still counts for $13.56 million in 2018. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/09/02/bills-have-a-staggering-amount-of-dead-money-under-the-cap/

SemperFeist
At least the coaching staff isn’t mismanaging things. Edited September 3, 2018 by SemperFeist
RpMc
Better let Peterman die than ruin your longshot QB prospect out of the chute.
gopherwrestler
Personally I’m fine with it. The team isn’t great offensively, no reason to get that fan base to give up on Allen early in the season. Let him develop and let Peterman take the bumps and bruises from the schedule and the fans. vike daddy
According to Brian Costello of the New York Post, Bowles acknowledged that rookie quarterback Sam Darnold will be his starter. The move will make Darnold the youngest player to start the opening game for his team since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/09/03/jets-announce-sam-darnold-will-start-at-quarterback/ no pressure, Sam... SteelKing728
I like Nathan Peterman and I hope he does great, except week 3!
VikeManDan
It was the smart decision for the Bills IMO. Let Allen sit and learn to start the year.

swede700
Well, apparently Bell has to be done in Pitt, considering he's lost that locker room...well at least some of the leaders in it.
SemperFeist
Yikes! You know it’s bad, and likely beyond the point of no return, when teammates are talking about a guy’s contract situation. gopherwrestler
They will be over if if Connor can’t come in and put up numbers like he did and aren’t winning like they were with him.... He comes back, shows how much he is worth, and takes over games.... 2019 Texans pay him big bucks....
