The joke/goof being that he can say stupid ish whenever he wants to the media and create a whirlwind of publicity. He does it all the time. Makes an absurd comment and then sits back as the sports world talks about him for years. Less about being out of touch, more about knowing how to press buttons. He obviously loves to press buttons. That’s just such an odd thing to say on purpose. Imagine his grandkids having to listen to that. One thing’s for sure…he’s not boring.
