The pick wouldn’t be much. Maybe a 3rd, he’s gonna need a new contract tho. Maybe we send them back their 4th they gave us for Herndon and a future conditional 2nd or something.

I’d totally be on board for that

We werent alive for 3 of them so thats likely how lol

Well heck that doesn’t make a difference. That’s like saying the 5 best Yankees of all time are Jeter, ARod, Rivera, Pettite and Posada. Because you weren’t alive for Ruth, Mantle, DiMaggio, Gehrig and Berra.

Here's a list of some of the top TEs including how many games they missed

1.) Mark Andrews: 107rec 1361yds 9TDs

2.) Travis Kelce: 92rec 1125yds 10TDs (missed 1 game)

3.) George Kittle: 71rec 910yds 6TDs (missed 3 games)

4.) Rob Gronkowski: 56rec 802yds 6TDs (missed 5 games)

5.) Dalton Schultz: 78rec 808yds 8TDs

6.) Dallas Goedert: 55rec 830yds 4TDs (missed 2 games)

7.) Dawson Knox: 50rec 590yds 9TDs (missed 2 games)

8.) Darren Waller 55rec 665yds 2 TDs (missed 6 games)

9.) Zach Ertz: 74rec 763yds 5TDs

10.) Kyle Pitts: 68rec 1026yds 1TD

11.) Mike Gesicki: 73rec 780yds 2TDs

12.) Noah Fant: 68rec 670yds 4TDs (missed 1 game)

13.) TJ Hockenson: 61rec 583yds 4TDs

14.) Hunter Henry 50rec 603yds 9TDs

So I think it's safe to say that Andrews, Kelce, Kittle, Gronkowski are all for sure better than Schultz.

Now I know based on your posts in your short time on here you like stats. So you have to think about things. Schultz got targeted a ton and that's why his stats are high.

Take guys like Knox, Waller, Henry, Goedert... they did A LOT more given their situations than Schultz did.

You give them the targets Schultz got and their stats are WAY better than that of Schultz.

Have to assume Pitts also becomes more of a end zone threat going forward, so he I'd rank higher as well.

So for me that puts Schultz around the 10th best TE in the NFL.

and he's going to want Andrews money (14mill/annually), I think he gets more like Henry money (12.5mill/annually). Which isn't vastly overpaying for his skill set.

But he is not a top 3-4 TE like you think he is. He doesn't even belong in the same sentences as guys like Andrews, Kelce and Kittle.

So you're going to use other games missed amongst other Tight Ends as a red flag against Dalton Schultz as if it's his fault that he's both physicality tough and durable?

And yes. I like statistics. But I don't like cherry picking.

You claim he received a ton of targets but then you praise Andrews while stating Dalton Schultz isn't in his same class? Well then how about we give Dalton Schultz 153 targets and Mark Andrews only 104 targets because you'd (then) be singing a different 2021 tune (when looking @ their statistical production).

• 3rd in Catch Rate Percentage.

• 3rd in Receptions (but only 6th in targets).

• 3rd in 1st Down Catches.

• 4th in Receiver Rating.

• 5th in TDs.

And that's an Average Ranking of 4.2

(amongst these 7 statistical categories).

But yet you're going to tell me with a straight face that he wasn't a top 4 NFL TE last year but instead closer to "10th'?

I'm not buying what you're trying to (TE) sell me. Not one bit.

Yeah we have the draft capital and cap space to make it work. Factor in the need at EDGE, his age and skill set it makes sense.

We can then maneuver around the 1st round to recoup anything we lost. If Kayvon is there at 4 I’d still take him honestly but if he isn’t we aren’t forced to pick someone, we can move back and let the board play out.

Yes if I’m picking a TE for my team Shultz isn’t a top 5 choice for me. He’s probably in that 7-10 range. You’re throwing out stats, but those stats 100% take out QB play. Is Goedert not doing more if Dak is throwing him the ball instead of Hurts? Fant if he doesn’t have however is throwing him the ball? I can keep going. If you’re being honest… I highly doubt your choosing a guy like Schultz over 4 other TEs. If you are… then you’re team building should be in question 😉 Bc 99% of people are taking guys like Kittle, Kelce, Andrews, Waller, Goedert, Pitts over Shultz.

In one paragraph or less, do you think Schultz on the Jets will be as productive as he was on Dallas?

Interesting..... I think my PI skill left something to be desired.    Dalton's parents' names are Suzy Wilkerson and Troy Golightly. His brothers have the same last name as his.  Dalton is born to those parents.

So where the heck does Schultz come from? lol.
