Adrenaline_Flux
We were dysfunctional with the Weavers too and a lot was sacrificed to make the team look "shiny" for someone to buy. We're a cursed franchise. It doesn't matter who the owner is.

And then they left the team in a bit of a holding pattern to try to bump up the valuation. Like the team was hemorrhaging money and from an ownership making money perspective things had gone bad, but those aren’t things that impact fans at any real level. But there was never really football operations disfunction. I mean the worst thing was JDR knowing he was going to be fired and mailing in the end of his tenure. Otherwise, like the team wasn’t good and Gene Smith was an idiot, but he probably was only kept that whole time so that the franchise could continue to be a blank canvas for the new ownership. There was a lot of ownership interference in football operations and a lot of twisting of the truth when it came to the 2008-2011 Jaguars and the sale of the team. my point isn't to absolve the Khans though it's that this team is cursed and has been since 2008, but we're fans and we always need a new boogeyman big bad to point at to feel like there's any semblance of hope

Not really cursed. The Weavers wanted out and made the team appealing for someone to take over and build how they wanted. Shad is just a garbage owner. And he maybe blew our single opportunity to truly get out of this.
.Buzz
Put a HC in here that is competent with Trevor and we end up being a competitive team for the next decade. Ownership is an issue, but I think Trevor is the guy who rises above that ala Peyton/Luck in Indy. But if we keep having these in house fires from the FO/coaching staff that makes it pretty impossible.
LinderFournette
Here's an interesting conspiracy theory on why Khan put a strong statement out instead of just firing him. Khan thinks urban will resign sooner then later
