They won't, the last thing they want is disgruntled players in Green Bay. Green Bay is all about the locker room. The question will be how pissed will he be with the tag. If Packer brass did that they should all be fired for being idiots. They will trade him if it comes to that but I'm thinking he'll be back one way or another. Either your theory runs true or the Packers didn't really have any FAs that were worthy of the franchise tag. The best FAs the Packers have had were Daryn Colledge/Cullen Jenkins in 2011, Scott Wells in 2012, Greg Jennings in 2013, none in 2014, Davon House in 2015, Casey Hayward in 2016, JC Tretter/Micah Hyde in 2017, Morgan Burnett in 2018, none in 2019, Bryan Bulaga/Blake Martinez in 2020, and Corey Linsley in 2021.
