Is Baker Mayfield worth an extension

This Derek Carr trade idea is ludicrous at best. Derek Carr's contract expires after 2022.. the same time Baker's does. Trading would be dumb

Both the Raiders and Browns (and other teams) should bargain shop and see who is cheaper

Better yet, if the Browns can tag and trade Baker, get a return, AND sign Carr for cheaper than Baker demands, then they upgrade QB, they get picks, AND they save a few bucks

Point is: Browns fans seem to want to make it a binary choice between paying $40M to a guy who is worth half of that and being stuck without a QB for another 20 seasons. There are other options to proceed

They also said that if the cost for Carr would be too high, they should go target Matt Ryan instead. That's the point we have reached with the Baker narrative...go get a decrepit Matt Ryan or pay like crazy for one Derek Carr .

I think Matt is all done being able to string together 3-4 good playoff games, especially in non-dome venues.
He's an indoor dog at this point - you can't ask him to win playoff games in CLE in January.

I’m envisioning all of these shrimpy warm weather or dome quarterbacks playing in Cleveland and it is absolutely comical.

Not like you have to look very hard for how that would go when you have Big Ben just across the way in Pitt.

And he’s not even shrimpy.

In all seriousness, he, Flacco, Favre, Rodgers, Josh Allen, and Jim Kelly are why grabbing strong armed quarterbacks who can fight through the elements are essential in the North/Great Lakes.
