Also, if I may - shame on the Titans for giving him that workload.

You've been to the AFCCG, playoffs multiple times.

The move should have been to reduce his workload to make sure he's healthy for the playoffs

It's not that simple though.  Do we win in Seattle (182 yards) and against Buffalo (143 yards) if Henry is getting 60% of the carries he got in those games?  I would argue no.  So that puts us at 4-4 rather than 6-2.  If Henry is off the field more often, we may not win close games like yesterday's.  He was not terribly effective but the threat of him in the backfield clearly changes the way the defense has to play and react.  So what is our record if we're being "reasonable" with Henry's carries?  If we then miss the playoffs by a game, at least we could say we didn't overuse our healthy RB?  We'd be saving him for next year... when we would just underuse him again to keep him fresh in case we make the playoffs?

Do we get to hang a banner in the stadium that says "2021 - Managed Derrick Henry's Workload Well"?  Other Titans fans feel differently, that's fine.  I have no regrets on how we use him.  Sucks that he got hurt but there's no guarantee that the foot injury didn't happen if we play him less.

The Colts should have showed you by now you can get a banner that says whatever you want, and it won’t even be the most embarrassing flag in the division.

The Titans were giving this guy like 40 carries week 2 and 3 of the season up against trash teams. This injury was inevitable.

KC easily stopped Henry in the playoffs like 1 or 2 years ago. He slows down by the end of the season with this heavy workload and the team isn’t a threat to win anymore. Mike Vrabel needs to grow up as a coach.

Boy if this isn’t one of the most inaccurate things I’ve read all year.

Henry got more half of his yards for 2018 in the last 4 games of the year.

Had 100+ yards in 6 of the 7 last games he played in for the 2019 regular season.

Two 200 yard games and 6 out of the last 8 regular season games were 100+ in 2020.

4.9 yards per carry, 5 total td’s ( 2 receiving)  in 6 post season contests.

Couldn’t have been more wrong if you tried.

4-4, in first place and with games left against Houston and JAX....and possibly a healthy Henry.

Playing the what if game, we can also say that with less carries Henry could have been more effective with the carries he got. AND it's possible the backup could have been more effective too.

They probably didn't need to give him 29 carries at like 3 yards per in the blowout against KC. It was 27-0 at half, they totally could've had a backup RB clean that game up.

People complaining about the work load he is given is classic revisionism

That's who he is. A bell-cow back who is asked to put the team on his shoulders and carry them to wins. If he doesn't have that workload, the Titans aren't the same team. Probably not in the playoffs. He hasn't been an injury prone back at all, despite the workload. Would you prefer Saquon's Barkley's 12 carries per month?

Well you see that’s just not accurate. Henry was stopped by KC 2 years ago and by Baltimore last year but it wasn’t bc he was used up. Just great game plan and exectituon.

That’s fair. I think it’s always easier to look back in hindsight and say they should have rested him in a game. At the time, you don’t know if the chiefs are coming back or not. He’s the closer. Gets stronger as the game goes on. Makes sense to step on their throats when we could.
