You must not have watched football when Favre was a thing. No QB respective of their era has had a peak like Favre. 3 straight MVPs is something these modern young QBs could only dream of.

fair enough, but I'll forever contend that Steve Young '92-'94 was better.

If Mahomes ends up a 3x MVP, 11x Pro-Bowler. a bunch of all-pros and named to all decade teams, I think that's good enough for me as a Chiefs fan, considering he's already given us a SB along with another appearance.

Tom Brady 2016-2019?
Aaron Rodgers 2018, 2019?

Or is that a different era?

Mahomes hasn't had the peak of those two QBs. Plus Brady missed games in 2017 and had no talent around him in 2018 or 2019. Rodgers had a small amount of talent in 2018 and 2019 but was very efficient.

I get what you’re saying about Mahomes but let’s not take away from Favre here. Guy is an absolutely legendary QB

Favre in the 90s is the 3rd best QB of all-time yes, but he sucked in the 2000s. Overall when mixing the two he isn't an all-time great.

So Brady took the yards record from Manning and the TDs record from Brees who took it from Manning.

Can anyone recall the GREAT QB that Manning took the records from?

He was #1 by 10,477 yards and 88 TDs over 2nd place Marino when he retired.

You know, SB Champion, played in 2 SBs, won 186 games and 13 playoff games.

Retired number 1 in yards and TDs.

Is still 4th in yards and TDs.

Won 3 straight MVP awards

Brady and Manning are greater

BTW, Favre after his 3 MVP seasons in 95-97 (years 5-8) put up more yards and TDs than Stafford has now for his whole career. He'd be top 13 in both categories if you ignored years 1-8.

  • He had nine winning seasons after year 8
  • He had seven 10+ win seasons after year 8
  • He had three 12+ win seasons after year 8.
  • He went to 6 more pro bowls (5 earned) for 11 total.

Okay, I think that's fair.

So Brady and Manning are better, Rodgers had a better peak, etc.

Can you explain how the other 30 QBs and/or Chad Henne are better? Remember, your argument wasn't "He's not an all time great" but rather:

I think Mahomes might be done as a starting QB now.
