He spoke to Davis in 2014 before taking the Michigan job. Could be something he revisits. The talent is much more suitable to a quick fix than it was back then.

If Davis wanted to throw big money at him to entice him, who knows. Would Michigan try to match?

I like the prospects of Harbaugh. NFL pedigree. Players like him. Good energy and well connected in the league.

I seem to remember Schefter thinking that Harbaugh to the Raiders at that time was a done deal. And Adam is a Michigan guy.

We were probably very close to getting him. A real “what if…”

I will say a staff has to look at this defense and think they’re close. 2-3 good players and this is an awesome defense. One DT, a LB, and another safety with positional versatility and this unit could be top 10.

yeap 100% agreed with this. Our D is full of good players.
We just need 1 or 2 difference makers. I hope Yannick grows and becomes one, and then we need one at LB.

They have out done my expectations of them this year, and they have so many what if moments too. If only we could give our DBs some stickem hha.

Yep. Absolutely. If you can look past the win loss column their are some key players that can be built upon

Maxx, Moehrig, Hobbs, Mullen, and Yannick are all building block level players. Ideally Koonce and Deablo can develop into guys for us as well. But I think we still need to get better on the interior DL, LB, and probably add another safety/CB.

I don't deny anything you just said. Although it depends when an how the needs are addressed

This is kind of a given

A sneaky good roster LOL What planet is that stooge who wrote the article living on?

We have only superficial things that would be appealing to a HC.  Vegas which to me is a negative, look to the Ruggs situation as an example.  I find it hard to believe that incident would have occurred in the Oakland hills.

If any HC signs because of our "new facility" we are getting someone I want nothing to do with.

A team committed to winning?  WTF does that even mean?  Sounds like a bunch of filler garbage for a franchise that will have a hard time landing any respectable HC.

1.) The roster situation is for sure better than what Dan Campbell or Urban Meyer had to work this year. Therefore it's for a new coach easier in to get the fans on his side, because it's a lot easier to win with this guys we have.

2.) I agree with you, that Vegas is not a good place for 20-year olds who earn millions of dollars. But with the right HC and better character checks we can live with that "negative" influence.

3.) Nobody will only sign becaus of our new facility. But it's definitely a benefit, when you have better facilities available for better training control or other fancy stuff.

This is going to blow your mind but they probably have Top Golf in Oakland. Now, if he was rolling deep at Tao Nightclub with Wayne Newton an escort and white tiger, you might have a point.

Top Golf has zero to do with my point.  If you think the nightlife and culture in the Oakland Hills are comparable to Vegas I'm not sure what to tell you.

I think what he is saying is, that Ruggs got drunk while golfing and wrecked a sports car.  That can happen anywhere on earth and didn't happen because he was in Las Vegas.  Realistically New York, Chicago, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Nashville, and Miami would all be on the same tier of "good cities to get in trouble if you are a young millionaire" list.  Vegas gets more heat because of the casinos and prostitution.  But trouble will inevitably find 22 year old millionaires where ever they may be.

I go clubbing whenever I have time. No excuses to drink and drive no matter what. That lack of character would have shown anywhere. Loved Ruggs as a player, but he deserves to rot for 50 years. 0 sympathy for going 150 drunk.
