Poles is doing what he said, I just don't think that most fans understood what he meant.

Not only that...they're charting who is likely to be released.

The more guys getting released the more I am comfortable with waiting...you go get the likes of Jarvis Landry, Daryl Williams and JC Tretter on 1 or 2 year deals and you get solid vets for a couple of seasons that allow you to draft and develop...

So many FAs out there who would still help this team out...Poles is letting FA come to him...which is the right way to do it.

Assuming it actually comes to him.

My issue with the stop gap veteran route is that we a ton of holes. It would be nice to remove some of them.

Stop gap veterans still force you to draft.

I disagree...it brings about options...especially when you have a ton of cap space in the coming years.

If we sign a couple of mid teir veteran stop gap OLmen… I would hope we still draft more OL high to develop to take over.

And if you go into 2022 with 2 unproven guys, 1 terrible and 1 mediocre + you add 2 draft picks, you now have 4 unproven guys, 1 terrible and 1 mediocre. This is why I would've taken a flyer on Glowinski,Cappa, Tomlinson or Karras. They didn't get HUGE money and they're all 30 or younger.

I hope we do too...but it doesn't force you too because you know next year you will have more resources.

They traded Roquan Smith?

I guess I missed that...

I thought as much, too. But it's pretty clear none of the big names were interested in going elsewhere. Well, the big names Poles might have been looking at, anyway. Not much can be done about that.

Ogunjobi ts really good. I'm surprised the Bengals let him walk. As to the importance of the signing--Bears just lost three guys from their line.

We have no idea what the plan for the O line and the receivers are...but it's rumored that either Shuster or MVS will become a Bear. Which works. As far as linemen go...who knows at this point?

From me, yes. Backload that deal, and ship him in!

I don't think the Bears offense sucks. Neither does Ryan Poles. We'll see how things shake out.

Yeah, I posted something the other day, somewhere, wondering if Robinson isn't going to get the huge payday he was expecting. It's looking like that's what's going to happen. He's likely losing major cash for dogging it last year, and part of the year before.

Agreed.

It is. But, based on the Bears letting him walk, and comments (direct and indirect) from Poles--I think Poles SERIOUSLY questioned Daniels motor.

Now, I would have brought Daniels back...but I can't really argue with Poles' criticism.

I don't think that it is at all clear that Chark is more talented.

It sure as heck seems like they do, don't you think?

The Bears offense sucks. That is a fact.

Windy, the Bears are going to draft WR and OL anyways, probably at least 1 of each.  Pokes told you he was big on the 2nd and 3rd wave, 2nd wave won't really begin until after the weekend and 3rd wave is post draft.  Just chillax, if he goes into TC without answering dome of these questions burn him in effigy, but getting mad bc he is following the plan he told you ahead of time is just going to give you an ulcer
