Dome Posted March 29, 2022 Share Posted March 29, 2022 Way better backup than Taysom Hill… with Hill out of the QB room Dennis Allen doesn’t have to worry about his usage in case he’s needed at QB. Outside of his fumbles (not too many last year but my memory aint the best), those designed running plays were situationally effective. tyler735 Posted March 29, 2022 Share Posted March 29, 2022 (edited) As others have mentioned, this is a solid signing to have Dalton be our backup QB allowing us to get Taysom Hill out of the QB room. For fantasy purposes, I could see Taysom being an interesting option this season if he truly does focus on TE. If he's listed as a TE, but still gets utilized some as a short yardage specialist for us, he could be a sneaky stash...Especially with Kamara facing a potential suspension this season. I don’t know how anyone can feel comfortable with Winston as their starting quarterback. On a side note, why would Hill be moved to tight end and not wide receiver? TheRealMcCoy Posted March 30, 2022 Share Posted March 30, 2022 (edited) What a friggin stupid move Hopefully for Saints fans sake one of their remaining UFA sign a deal that will qualify for the comp pick formula to get back that 3rd/4th rounder. Losing Terron Armstead and Marcus Williams in FA and not coming away with even 1 comp pick would be a travesty.
