  1. 1. What would you do?

    • Try to find a trade partner, if nothing works then release him. Time to cut our loses.

    • Keep him and start him, and just hope he improves with playing time.

    • Keep him but purely as a backup. He hasn't earned a starting spot yet.

It had Cable's signature but Gruden notarized it.

Meh don’t forget Mike may the draft guru didn’t wanna trade down because everyone wanted leatherwood. I can’t see gruden watching oline film. Imo it’s all Mike and cable. Cable tells Mike what type he wants Mike finds the guys.

Leatherwood was a terrible pick for value, but I don't like cutting him this early in his career. He still has a chance to develop. Mayock and Gruden made poor picks for value, but Leatherwood is not total trash. He has swing value and he is young. He shouldn't start, but Parker has been on scholarship for years. Leatherwood is way better than Parker was in his second year. Parker was straight trash.

It has already been said that Cable was the one banging the table for Leatherwood.  It was not a player like him.

Parker played at North Carolina A&T. Big difference in progression and level of competition.

Leatherwood has some skill. He should stick in the league. Needs coached up and his confidence rebuilt. Too much was put on him by Gruden/Mayock over drafting him. He was at best a 2nd round G prospect.

Gruden/Mayock were the bust in this situation. Nobody had Leatherwood ranked as a top 20 or even first round pick. Despite what Mayock tried to sell everyone on.

Yep, straight up if you went by 99% of ALL draft boards (professional and amateur.lol) leatherhead was a 2nd at best, meanwhile the consensus 3rd best OT was staring us in the face. Most didn’t even think darrisaw would be there at 17 without a little luck. Smh
