Only other 1st rd pick "receiver" not WR to catch a TD pass from Rodgers. That is nuts considering he's approaching 500.
candyman93
I mean that’s not crazy when you look the Packers draft philosophy- They’ve spent a ton of 1st round picks on defensive players. They used 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round picks on offensive players. Edited September 21 by candyman93

The Aaron Rodgers Defense Squad always throws that out there like Rodgers hasn't had anything around him, but GB mines good with those 2nd/3rd (or later) WR picks - Driver, Jennings, Nelson, Adams, Cobb, most notably. Also useful players like James Jones and Jermichael Finley...and Allen Lazard though he wasn't a GB draft pick.

Like a one off TD to a Kenny Britt

Like a one off TD to a Kenny Britt This is definitely the more surprising part of the stat. Like, the Chiefs didn't draft a WR in the 1st round from 2012 through 2023. So Worthy is the first Chiefs drafted 1st round WR Mahomes has thrown a TD to. But you had castoffs from other teams in Sammy Watkins and Kadarius Toney to fill that. The Pats didn't draft a 1st round WR from 1997 through 2018. They took N'Keal Harry the last year of Brady's career there, and that was it. But you had Randy Moss and Breshard Perriman and Cordarrelle Patterson and Donte Stallworth and Brandin Cooks and etc. The draft strategy is less crazy than them not just winding up with some random disgruntled former 1st rounder, or some cast off that played a depth role or something, IMO

minutemancl
Alec Pierce is averaging 25(!!!) YPC. He's got over 200 yards on 9 catches. That's what happens when your QB has an arm like Anthony Richardson has.
