Players being used incorrectly.

Kiwibrown here,. I have watched 10 games of browns 'football' so far this season. One important observation we have made with our team is that we are not using all our players correctly.

Jabril Peppers is being used as a deep safety instead of an in the box safety.

david Njoku, has been used on screen passes and is not targeted enough. Along with our TE group altogether.

Duke johnson isn't being given the ball enough and he is our only offensive player that can make plays.

ricardo louis is playing WR with hands of stone, he should shift to corner back.

How is your team screwing is up?

Martavis Bryant isnt being used to stretch the field nearly as much as he should be.     We seem to use him more for sweeps and screens than having him do what he excels at.       The emergence of Juju keeps him off the field, but with Juju nursing a hammy this week, Im hoping we see some verticals to Bryant.    We are starting to find our big plays on offense lately, but we need Bryant to be a part of that.  Whether Todd Haley lets that happen or not is the question.

Nice idea, cuz.

I don't know to say this without sounding arrogant, but we don't really have any examples of this, as BB is the coach. Only gets the best out of players.

That said, we've just got rid of Cassius Marsh and I'd argue he was being used incorrectly by being asked to hold an edge every now and then. He was used through necessity, but still, he's not strong enough to hold an edge, and he's also not good enough to disengage a blocker to rush the passer. Alas, he's off the team now.

For the 49ers, some people are questioning why Solomon Thomas is being asked to play inside and at strong side defensive end instead of at the LEO position. Something that seemed more suited to his strengths. Recently that has changed a little.

How about, Buckner not being moved around more? I notice that he's utterly shut down with double teams (as are most - but the discrepency between how strong he is 1v1 against 2v1 is notable). So, do they not scheme him away from people? Put him on the weak end or something?

Is he any good?

Actually, yes. He gets open often, but Thielen and Diggs are veterans that have established chemistry and history making them the primary focus of the passing offense. Treadwell is also an outstanding blocker.

It's time we stop using OJ Howard primarily as a blocker and we get him more involved in the passing game. His route running isn't great but his athleticism and hands are amazing and only good things happen when we throw him the ball.

Chris Godwin is another guy who needs more snaps on offense. He did his time on special teams and he's stepped up big the last two weeks as a WR. He needs to see the field more while Hump sees it less.

Our whole dline is a mess. We run stunts and shuffle guys around all the time. Gerald McCoy has one of the fastest first steps in the league and should never be running sideways to stunt at the snap. He should be moving forward shooting gaps, like he does so well.
