biggie. Hopefully he picks up where he left off beforehand and Duval takes the next step.

ronjon1990
Petty stupid. I mean the fact that he has to apply for reinstatement in the first place.
BayRaider
The punishment was warranted tbh. Normalizing sports betting for the players or refs would be a disaster. Even a small bet on your own team starts normalizing the process. And if the punishment is only 4 or 8 games, players aren't gonna care. Then once it's normalized, in 10 years you have a corrupt sport like boxing... people trying to throw games, crime organizations having pull on players, you name it. NFL will always make an extreme example out of a player gambling on it's own sport.

Yeah, you’re right, I think this should be sufficient deterrence. After all, it’d be virtually impossible for a player, motivated to profit from gambling, to do so now! Charles
Man if the jags can shore up the o-line that offense is going to be sick.
Billy86
They surely have to, this was one of the stupider long term suspensions I have seen. He did black and white break the rule but was clearly oblivious to it by posting it on twitter, and he bet on his team to win. He should've got 4-8 games and a massive fine to make an example and ensure all players knew what the deal was with it (finally) going legal across the US, but this was ridiculous. The real joke is if he were a franchise QB instead of a WR, he probably wouldn't have even got 4 games at all.
