They do need massive upgrades at linebacker. Desai was a Fangio guy and they were less bad under him than Patricia, but linebackers in zone defenses are just as valuable as coverage defenders as the corners and safeties. They have a ton of work to do with that roster before I can guess how this will work in the short term. They are way up against the cap and have to shred some players.. Ftn49 Posted January 25 Share Posted January 25 The chargers are a mess and are in tough division with Sean Payton year 2 and unfortunately one of the biggest if not the biggest bully in the nfl. I'm open to the idea that I could be wrong and they have a quick turnaround but I think people are forgetting that he was close to being fired at Michigan just a few years ago.
