The Packers are going to draft the best player on their board regardless of position like they do every year. Does Gute make the trade up for Watson if GB already has a deep WR room? I very seriously doubt it.

Couple other hits but ouch! It's not really that much worse than other teams. If you want something grim, look at the first round draft history with the Browns or Jets. Couple other hits but ouch! Rodgers, Love, Matthew, Raji, Walker, Alexander, Clark, Bulaga, Barnett, Hawk, Gary. I'd say 11 of their 21 first round picks from 2000 to 2020 were hits. Could maybe make an argument for Franks too. If you're drafting, on average, in the back half of the draft and going about 50 percent in the first you should feel pretty good about what you're doing.

Not a great pick, but we have seen much worse.

Around 15 of the consensus top 60 players are WRs this year. Seems like a wasted opportunity to not get one in an otherwise weak draft. We'll get a LB and S in FA and draft a CB, a RB and o-line depth anyway. I like Polk if he's there late 2. Edit: those numbers are off memory, I could be wrong Edited February 14 by Sandy
Isherwood
Packers fans in general have a really negatively skewed opinion of how often our GMs have “hit” in the last couple decades vs. other teams’ GMs, in the draft.
