I think the nightmare scenario for the Packers picking 6th is

The two QBs (Williams and Maye) are gone

The two OTs ( Fashonu and Alt) are gone

Marvin Harrison Jr (I don't think they'd take him that high) is gone.

Probably looking at a tradedown at that point.  What say you?

Who would want to be trading up in that scenario?

Latu, Newton or trade down. Luckily, we'll probably be picking top 3. Need to lose to Rams this week and we play Panthers later this season. Our aim should be for pick #1

Is it too much to ask that we suck so hard this year that we get a top 3 pick and somehow parlay that into having multiple picks in the first round next year, 2025?  I'd like to be at the draft, in Green Bay, with multiple first round picks.

It's gonna happen. We're losing out including to the Panthers. Trading the #1 pick for 4 1sts

So current PFF simulator on default settings has the order going (roughly):

1 (ARI) - Caleb Williams

2 (CHI) - Drake Maye

3 (CHI) - Laiatu Latu

4 (NYG) - Olumuyiwa Fashanu

5 (NEP) - Brock Bowers

6 (GB) - Marvin Harrison or Joe Alt

If you adjust for positional value, Marvin Harrison goes sooner.

It sure would be tough for me to not take MHJ here. How good he is, the lineage and the way he goes about his business. Bout as flawless as they come. I think he'd clearly be the last player in his tier by the way folks talk about the class.

If we are indeed picking this high it's gonna be a longer rebuild.  Might as well have some highlight plays while we're at it.

Well, the one thing we've got going for us IRT draft position is our strength of schedule. Pretty sure that's the main tiebreaker for draft picks and head-to-head has no bearing on it. Only team with a worse SOS than us in the top 10 right now is Chicago (.454) and we're at .455.

The good thing is that a few of these teams play each other still. The Cardinals play the Giants and Bears, the Giants play the Patriots, and the Panthers play the Bears. Plus the Packers could lose to three of these teams (Giants, Bears, Panthers) as well.

I can't imagine that Chicago would pass on Marvin Harrison at that point.  And even if they did pass on him, the Giants are letting him slide past them.

Not a nightmare at all. You take Bowers and pop the champagne.

Somehow I just knew you would try to make the draft all about you.

The worst part is we will pick like 11 somehow

SOS will be our friend. Only Kansas City and Detroit will weigh on it heavily and Cousins going down for Minnesota probably helps there too. The rest of the field are, at best, .500 level players.
