Stalking Rodgers

A separate strand to all this is how does Rodgers actually mentally accept living in NY and how does that align with his 'spiritual journey.'

Living in Green Bay and out on the West Coast is perfect, nature, peace, hippie mystical crystal shops, and a bit of anonymity. Living in the Big Apple is the heart and soul of materialism in the whole world. Having to deal with that duality of seeking peace and finding all the trappings of life has to offer will cause inner conflict. Unless of course that spirituality is not that real or deep in the first place. It will be interesting to see if cracks appear in his quest for happiness by being in NY.

It is another layer to all this and something I am quite intrigued by.

My goodness.

So he does the full off season program with his new team and not his team for 15 or whatever years, who were SB contenders ????

Oh, you know it's going to happen.

Yeah, I do. Just a matter of degree, I suppose.

Although most people here were of the "time for Rodgers to go" and the most vocal were "Gute messed up by keeping Rodgers an extra year/giving him that contract" so the diehard Aarheads (Rodgers is flawless, the organisation failed him) seem to be few in number (or alternately I have most of them on ignore)

It was Optional in Green Bay. The N in NY stands for Not Optional.

That’s not the point, and I dont even think it’s true.

Bro, OTA does not stand for Optional Team Activities. Ready To Thump huffed and puffed and asked everyone what the O in OTA stands for thinking it meant Optional instead of Organized.

The N in NY stands for New. As in New York. Where the Jets say they play. Even though they play in New Jersey.

It was a joke. I've been saying Rodgers is a POS teammate and not interested in the success of his team for the past 7 years.

2016 is the year Rodgers stopped showing up for the preseason.

In 2015 he played a good chunk in the first game and a drive in the second game. This was when the preseason was 4 games long.

2016 he played very little. Same for 2017.

2018 is the year he really quit on the team. He had 4 pass attempts. Came in and barely beat a bad Bears team, tied with a bad Vikings team and then lost to a bad Redskins team.

He hasn't played a single preseason snap since 2018. Not once in LaFleur's time has he had a single preseason snap.

Since he stopped playing in the preseason...

A 7 point victory against the Trubisky Bears. That's not an indictment against our defense. Our defense gave up 3 points. Rodgers scored 10 points.
Beat the Vikings by 9 points after a really good offensive output.
Scored 3 whole points against the Saints. In a 38-3 loss.
Scored 7 points against the Vikings in a loss.

So 3/4 seasons without any preseason or OTAs and 3 times he was held under 11 points.

And you all wonder why I called him a POS for skipping OTAs and preseason.

He's a PAB and always has been.

This break up was overdue by several years...he was getting bored and wanted something new. Not surprised to see him in Jet's camp throwing to the wide receivers and getting acclimated to his new surroundings. He owned Green Bay now he needs to do the little things again so that he can own the Jets....it is all about control.

I can't say he is a fraud because he has been this way for a long time. His actions have always spoken louder than his words. Murphy wasn't kidding when he told Rodgers "Aaron, don't be the problem".  Aaron is a great player and great players get treated differently...but this is what can happen over time when you let it fester and grow out of control and then reward it like we did last year. Rodgers was probably stunned the Packers gave him everything he said he wanted except for the ONE thing he really wanted all along.....his freedom. Now he has it and I'm fine with that.

A new chapter has begun for the Packers and a breath of fresh air has come into the room.   I'll bet some young wide receivers in our locker room are not unhappy at all to see him leave and have Love as their quarterback. I'm actually going to go to training camp this year as I'm excited to see all these young players and how the team responds to Love...and how Love responds to being the leader. We may lose a lot of games...but at least I will know everyone is pulling on the rope.

It's good to be a Packer fan.

He screwed the Packers over in 22.  Took the dough and checked out on them .. a big F You to the Packers organization.

This is PR week for him and the Jets. He said on McAfee that he was heading back out west soon.  I doubt he attends the majority of OTA's when it's all said and done, but he's already done more do the Jets than he did for the Packers last year.
