Maybe Reed needs Watson's sticky gloves. (in green font) I’m out of the loop on this ( FF meme I think?) lol

But for some reason, I cannot find the green font.
craig
In that Watson catch, Innis Gaines seemed to be in very strong coverage. He's bigger than our corners, he was used on ST, and report is that they've been using him in slot. I wonder if he isn't a guy who might have a pretty decent chance to make the 53? Last 3 games last year he averaged playing about 25% of defensive snaps. So he's certainly in the mix. Versatility and ability to play ST will be his calling card. squire12
General: First day of pads today but only shoulder pads. Full pads starting tomorrow. Peyton Manning is at Packers practice today. Injuries: LB Rashan Gary (PUP-Knee), CB Eric Stokes (PUP-Knee/Foot), WR Grant DuBose (NFI-Back) Not Practicing / Limited: WR Dontayvion Wicks (concussion), OL David Bakhtiari (likely rest day) Offense: Looks like it might be a rest day for Bakh - it’s Yosh at LT to start team walkthroughs. Tucker Kraft back practicing. Great news there. Zach Tom holds his own against LVS on a first one on one, false starts on the second, call the third one a draw. Reed has a half step on Valentine deep. Overthrown. Watson just jumped through the clouds for a 5 yard contested catch on Jaire. Deguara wins. Awesome move by Melton for a completion on Thomas. Davis can’t come up with the one handed catch. Heath with a quick completion vs Gaines. Reed with an awesome catch vs Valentine on an underthrown ball. Melton nice route on Thomas. Pass was off. Kraft beautiful catch on a corner from Love. Johnson Jr had good coverage. Just a great catch. Deguara wins easily Love dime to Bo Melton on a go route against Thomas. Melton toasts Thomas. Perfectly in-stride. TD. Melton pumps up crowd. Fun times. Reed beats Valentine again. Really nice pass pro rep from Goodson in one on ones. Love to see it. Rasheed Walker looks…good? Caleb Jones a 1v1 standout too. First carry in team work, Dillon puts the ball on the ground. Starters on team Love | Jones - Dillon | Musgrave Watson Doubs | Yosh - Runayn - Myers - JRJ - Tom Etling with a dime to Reed down the field for a big completion to bounce back. Tyler Davis did everything he could to try and hold LVN at bay. Nice little burst by Tyler Goodson and a nice pickup off right tackle. Called run play but Love makes the correct read and sees the space available on the slant. Hits Watson in stride. Nice awareness by 10. Sean Clifford shows off the wheels on a nice read option keeper for a good pickup. Got outside on Van Ness. Good combo block and read by Goodson on a third team run. Musgrave used as a big wide receiver on a crosser. Love hits him in stride over the middle. Fun little wrinkle that we will def see more of. Royce Newman getting some right guard reps with the ones for Runyan. Royce now getting reps at LG for Elgton - so possibly just rotating some guys today. Musgrave split out wide with Jaire in coverage, goes in motion and Love hits him on a shallow crosser. Nothing huge, but close to a first down. Nice and efficient. Video Jordan Love 60 yard touchdown on a 9 route to number 9. Watson smoked Gaines and Love put it on him. Perfectly over the shoulder. Love’s best 11-on-11 throw of camp probably. VIDEO Lew Nichols with a drop on a checkdown. Also dropped a pass in individual drills. Hands have been a major issue for him early. Clifford’s 2-minute gets a big completion to Bonds. Love throws his first really bad pass of camp in the opening 2 minute drill play. He threw it right to Quay dropping in zone and Quay just dropped it. Checkdown to Jones on 2nd picks up a few. Incomplete to Doubs over the middle. And love follows up with a rolling out fading away deep throw to Jayden Reed and puts it right on him but Reed can’t hold on. Not sure if Reed would have stayed in but that was one hell of a throw. Practice appears to be over. Defense keeps the offense out of the end zone. Defense: Wooden just smoked Royce Newman. Mercy. Douglas broke up hitch to Doubs from Etling. Owens with a great PBU Nixon on Toure incomplete. Musgrave drop on good coverage from Moore. Douglas all over Doubs again. Watts vs SJc incomplete. Jaire locks up Watson on the next rep on a little out-breaker. Owens with nice coverage on Austin Allen SJc all over Chrest. May have been PI Moore great PBU on a deep corner to Musgrave. Had a couple steps. Doubs and Gaines get quite tangled. Probably a penalty on Gaines. Slaton’s bulldozing win over Myers the most impressive 1v1 pass rush. Wyatt won a rep too. 1st 😧 Slaton - Clark | Hollins - Quay - Campbell - Smith | Douglas - Nixon - Jaire | Ford - Savage Carrington Valentine pick 6 vs Etling and the 2s jumping a route to Heath in the left flat. Dude has been MONEY. Video Karl Brooks with a would be sack on Sean Clifford. He got through the line quick (as did about 3 other defenders). Reed, Toure, Nixon getting reps at punt returner. Karl Brooks just shot through the line with haste. Goodson got outside but that’s two disruptions from Brooks today. Quay all over an inside run by Aaron Jones. Devonte Wyatt forces a clear and obvious hold on Elgton Jenkins. Love scrambles for a few yards but a great rush from Wyatt that would have drawn the penalty. Love had immense pressure in his face due to Lukas Van Ness rushing and Zach Tom trying to hold his own. LVN just a bit more powerful. Packers just went with a one man pass rush - TJ Slaton - with 10 in coverage on a final play attempt. Slaton somehow got some legit push up the middle. Clifford gets hit a bit by Enagbare when rolling out and ball falls incomplete. Defense wins 2nd team 2 min drill. Special Teams: Jayden Reed, Christian Watson & Romeo Doubs getting work as kick returners. Toure and Jones getting reps too. Rich Bissacia is getting after…everyone. Love watching the man work. Pat O’Donnell had one punt blocked — looked like TE Austin Allen got it — and averaged 4.14 seconds of hang time on 10 other kicks. Not as consistent as he was a couple days ago. Corey Ballentine almost blocked one punt as well. Media: Luke Musgrave Video Love to Kraft Video | Video2 Love to Watson Video | Video2 Love footwork Video | Video2 Interviews: LaFleur Presser: Matt LaFleur on first day in pads: "Now you start to play some real football." On his expectations: "The intensity is gonna pick up. Certainly, the rules of engagement change a little bit, in terms of being able to thud up if you get head up on a ball carrier." Matt LaFleur on Jordan Love's standout practice Saturday: "It's never one guy. The guys around him played a little bit better, he was probably in some good situations. Ultimately, he went out there, and he delivered some great balls." Matt LaFleur added that Jordan Love "threw a sail route to [rookie wideout Jayden Reed] that was a really good throw" on Saturday. LaFleur's not going to "overreact" to Anders Carlson going 2-of-7 on field goals on Saturday. He'll kick again on Tuesday. "It'll be fun to see how he responds." Daniel Whelan has done a heck of a job and had a big time leg per MLF. Whelan looks to be pushing O’Donnell a bit so far in practices.
packfanfb
Was at practice today. Too tired to do a breakdown right now but one thing stood out that probably wasn't reported: both Gary and Stokes did some heavy rehab work including full out sprints, agility drills, resistance work, etc. Both look really good and weren't limited at all.

MacReady
I don't frankly care how good Jordan Love is and I'm at the point where it's no longer about Super Bowls or bust. Right now it's all about defense for me. I can't go another decade of poor defensive football. If something doesn't change on the defensive side of the ball, I don't know if I'll make it another decade.
