My point is that it's concerning that Jimmy "the chosen one" G is turning the ball over at an alarming rate against a D that projects to be amongst the worst in the NFL.  You can say the D is improving, whatever that means as I don't think there are many people out there who project the D to finish anything above the bottom 5

I expect him to be lightening it up since he is the "chosen one" who is a "dawg".

Who's projecting the defense to be amongst the worst in the NFL? You? Who's calling Jimmy G "the chosen one"?

Your entire post is nonsense. I think most are pretty level headed in that Jimmy G is a stop gap QB with some system familiarity. Not expecting him to be great, but be consistent and hopefully improve a decade of poor red zone play.

You literally make stuff up so you can argue against it because you're so desperate to be heard.

Most in here (yes there are always the eternal optimists) see the team is rebuilding in some capacity.

Here are NFL defense rankings from multiple, unbiased sources.  What planet do you live on thinking this D unit is anything other than one of the worst in football?  These are the top three when I type this in D rankings on Google for the upcoming season.  I can post many others if you like but as you can see the overall consensus is bottom three.

It's comical how thick your JM blinders are.  This team is not going to be good because your boy has zero idea how to evaluate talent and manage assets. No more victim mentality, no more pointing fingers, this is JM's squad and he has to own the results of the upcoming season.

The only time I feel like replying to your trash takes is when I'm bored.

To be fair, though they are going to rank our defense based on how they did last year. Not necessarily on what they are capable of this year. So I don't really think you can use rankings as any indicator of how the defense will actually do.

With that being said, though, I don't think they did enough in the off-season to really improve the defense other than at corner(if the starters end up being Marcus peters, Bennett and Hobbs)

Our defense is guaranteed bottom 10.

We need to add like 3-4 big time playmakers and 4-5 more starting caliber players before our defense has a chance at being middle of the pack.  We have one star on defense and I don't even need to write his name because there's no confusion on who that one star is.

It's Crosby and 10 turds until proven otherwise.

Bunch of bloggers making takes based on last years results. Guarantee not one of those writers has been to a Raiders camp practice.

I don't think this team will be good, but it will not be "4ish wins, worst defense in the NFL, dumpster fire" like you keep copy/pasting all the time.

Curious how do you think we’ll do record wise or what place in afc west?

since you’re so approving of this new regime and their moves so far

I say 7 wins 3rd place afc west

imo too many lateral moves but we can still beat the donkeys hopefully

Good post, I do however think the defence should improve a decent amount. The defensive backfield I think could be quite good and I expect Chandler Jones to be a bit more noticeable. The DTs and LBs could still be very weak though so I don’t think we’ll become a mid level defence just yet, though I think that is our ceiling really, ceiling around 16 to 20 and floor the usual 30+

6 wins if we get our heads out of our Broncos.

JM + Patrick Graham is pretty grim as it is.

Jimmy is playing with new WRs in a new system with arguably lesser talent at TE, which bailed him out often in SF, a lesser OL, and a D that's likely to put the O in tougher spots than he's used to.

Best case scenario is 6-7 wins.

If Jimmy doesn't get hurt and Jacobs plays, that is.

McDummy is good at squeezing out good years from meh RBs, similar to Shanny, so Jimmy should have that to fall back on, which will help. But the OL issues and if Jacobs isn't motivated....oof.

Jimmy gets hurt and/or the run game has issues, we could honestly see a worse record than last season even with an improved product on the field. Betting at 6-7 wins gives room for some optimism if things go right and we wound up with 8 or 9. I'm willing to do that. But if it went off the tracks real quick, I wouldn't be too surprised either.

3 wins or less would surprise me.

10+ wins would surprise me.

4-9 wins is a toss-up based on how personnel things shake out.
