(Still thankful the Eagles took him over Jefferson Though!)

Raegor was the right pick because the Eagles didn’t need a limited slot receiver like JJ

Yeah that Cluster Flop of a mistake led Howie into getting DeVonta Smith and AJ Brown so it doesn't sting quite as bad these days.

Thier rookie year though was brutal.

Not a huge surprise, curious who they will get now because they do need another WR.  I would not mind getting Devon Allen off the Eagles practice squad and get some real deal deep speed or Andy Isabella of the Bills practice squad.

But maybe they are fine with what they got since they will be playing two TEs most of the time.

Why does he suck so much?

He does not suck, it is just he does not really use that athletic ability or he did so much prep for the combine and never maintained that athletic ability or improved on it with conditioning.

He is not a dynamic enough return man to keep around and obviously his route running is very questionable.  You have slower guys get open because they run good routes and are sudden enough in a small area.  He is clearly a lot of straight line speed and not great change of direction and not amazing hands so there are constantly receivers coming into the NFL that are better than him in running routes and catching the football.

My guess is rookie Jordan Addison is worlds ahead of him as a route runner and in terms of his feel as a receiver.  And Addison is very light, has a vertical 10" + shorter than Reagor and not near the strength on the bench and a bit of a slower 40.  But Addison can run routes, Reagor cannot is my guess.

Maybe, but you cannot just magically become a good route runner or magically have good hands.  It takes years of practice and requires intense determination.

Odd to not have that when basically his entire life is this short lived career, why not try to hold onto it a bit more by practicing and improving yourself instead of just relying on your athletic ability alone.

So the issue is a lack of work ethic.

Dude got the bag and checked out.

Reminds me of Trent Richardson. Great athlete got fat never learned the easiest position in runningback.

Every draft I say that route running is a premium skill in the NFL.  A rookie that can run good routes can make an immediate impact.  Big WR with no separation can only go so far.
