Blatantly tanking in year 1 was somewhat forgiveable and we were going to be bad no matter what. This year, instead of throwing EVERY SINGLE Year 1/2 player to the wolves, we should have at least opted for more band aids, including: *A veteran QB presence for the room, starter or not. *Some semblance of quality veteran(s) at the WR and CB positions, as well as the FS positions Other than that, I don't have too many gripes. We would have sucked with 30 year olds so we may as well have given some of these young dudes playing time. Excellent post. And I think that's probably what Hue pointed to when saving his job. I don't fault Jimmy for sympathizing with this view either. I am rather indifferent on firing Sashi because all he proved he could do is acquire draft picks and make cap room. Sure with some money in vets the browns are a 4-12 team at best, but even a few wins would be doing wonders for this organization. We'll see what happens with the coaches, I think we salvage some of the talent Sashi picked up better if Hue stays.

So if we have no talent we may as well start over. Trade Ogbah for a 7th. Garrett for a 6th. Shelton for a 7th. Kirksey for a 6th. Ogunjobi for a future 7th. Collins for a 6th. Shobert for a 7th. McCourty for a 6th. BBC for a 7th. Peppers for a 6th. Taylor for a 7th. Duke Johnson for a 7th. Gordon for a 6th. Corey Coleman for a 7th. Njoku for a 7th. Joe Thomas for a 6th. Bitonio for a 6th. Tretter for a 7th. Zeitler for a 6th. This would be a good route to get the no talent players off of the team right?
mistakey
not keeping josh mccown and somehow not being able to sign tony jefferson even though he took less money to play in Baltimore and that would have saved sushi's job? (remember kenny britt got 1000 yards last year and jason mccourty has been good for us)

Honestly, if we're going to suck no matter what, let's at least write something that not even a soap opera could make up. "Tune in next week when the Browns bring back Romeo Crennel on the staff for the third time since 1999". While we're at it, we're looking for a personnel guy, and I hear Kokinis is available. Wentz, okay, that makes sense. Either complain we didn't draft the top QB prospect (Trubisky instead of Garrett) or nothing. Very few expected Watson to do what he did in the short time he did it before getting injured. Drafting him may have been a great pick but not drafting him wasn't an error at the time. Drafting Kizer was a bigger mistake than not drafting Watson, odds are neither were going to pan out. Preach. They’re coming out of the woodwork it seams

I've been pounding the podium for Watson for 2 years. You others can go pound sand though. I was alone on the Watson bandwagon for two years and had stones thrown at me, so you can't join me now. mistakey
i mean realistically we're gonna get josh rosen, Joe may come back because of Hue, and if we have a qb that can actually complete 50 % of our passes we probably win at least 5 games and dorsey will look like a savior
buno67
Browns always taking one step forward and two steps back. Fire sashi - one step forward Committing to Hue - two steps back Sashi wasn’t the whole problem. Hue is just as guilty.

The team has the makings of an excellent front 7, a solid o-line, decent TEs, and is in all seriousness A QB, Lockdown CB, WR away from being a good team. All of which we can get with 120 million in cap space and 12 picks in the 2018 draft. They can hire me right now and I could use all of you guys as my advisors and couldn't mess things up. That is all Mastercheddaar Probably not, but very few of us would have retained Hue. There are not words to express my dismay over the decisions of our pos owner. I wonder if the dicking around with the AJ trade was the final straw. Does this mean we sign McCarron (probably for some exorbitant amount) and roll with Kizer?
