Obviously bad reffing had made it not a laugher, but tbh it's not an indefensible thing to burn the TO and make sure you decide what you want the call to be. There's also a lot of game situation difference between up 13 and risking going up 16, 17, or 18 versus giving the ball back and only being up 10. Worth talking it over IMO.
