I actually see RB as a decent FA proposition. Draft a guy in rounds two-four, and then figure out what the FA pool looks like. Swift/ Pollard/Jones seem comparable, hell what if we sold out for Henry? Jones and Henry for Bahk and some change (18- 21 million) doesn't seem that unpalatable honestly.

who the heck is giving up anything for Bak?

Maybe something conditional, where if he is actually able to play you would get a pick of some sort in 2025, and if he can't play again you get nothing.  Can't imagine there are many that would want to sign up for the Bak experience at this point.

anyone trading for Bak is an idiot. If he can play, we'd keep him, if we want to trade him, he can't play.

We can't keep him on his current cap number regardless. He's either getting traded or cut unless they can work out a restructure or extension to lower that cap hit.

I just meant it is roughly speaking the money we are freeing up by cutting Bak. Drafting O-line and figuring out RB in free agency. Guys hitting free agency: Swift, Pollard, Henry, Elliott, Cook, etc. - restructure Jones and get one of them.

This year is the year we REALLY need to reset our OL foundation, but more and more it’s looking like DeJean is going to be that safety/slot specialist who breaks into the top half of the first round. Jim Leonhard getting him started in this league is just too good a prospect to pass up.

I was hoping he’d have a quiet year, but that punt return for a TD and the hype he’s building…

More than just a handful are starting to see the potential he has to be that next Minkah Fitzpatrick game changer.

Even I was surprised to see he’s listed at 6’1, 207. Same as Fitzpatrick.

He tracks the ball better than anyone I’ve seen and has that QB mind.

For his sake, if we still have Barry I want him on any other team. But if we get him paired up with a fresh young defensive mind…

We’re talking a return to the Woodson days of beautiful pick sixes and exotic DB blitz packages.

You need to focus on the 300+ lb guys in round one and make the team that drafts DeJean your backup team.
