Pretty weak, from just a marquee matchup perspective.   Hoping some upsets can carry the week.

Has there been any actual talk about Texas going with Manning, with Ewers out?  I know they went to Murphy, but wasn't sure how they'll handle it with a week of prep time and practice reps being opened up.

Nope. Pretty much every indication that Manning will be a redshirt that Sark has shown no indication of wanting to burn - barring complete collapse on Maalik's part or another injury, don't expect to see Arch.

While he is apparently going to get reps with the 1s this week, I think that's more precaution than anything/typical 'try and force the other team to prepare for two guys' coachspeak.

Appreciate it.  That's pretty much the feeling I was getting, but wasn't sure if there was any input people with a better pulse on the program would have.  Is he just not ready, or are they putting that much value into retaining his redshirt?  The Covid any 4 game rule was never changed back, was it?  Any worry that gets spoken of about losing Arch to the portal with Maalik also being a freshman?  That's going to be an interesting situation to watch play out over the next few weeks.

I despise Pat McAfee, but Kyle Whittingham rolling into an interview on a Harley with a cutoff hoodie and backwards hat and high fiving fans and beating the interviewer in arm wrestling makes him now my favorite current college football coach.
