AFlaccoSeagulls
I mean it makes sense. He reported it to the team the night before and the morning of and the team never added him to the injury report.

Yeah teams amend the injury report all the time for guys who get sick or whatever. I think just this week the Lions added someone Saturday evening. scar988
They're gonna get fined like $100k and Arthur Smith about $35k and that will be it. Steelers did the same thing with Roethlisberger in 2019 and got a total of $100k fined.
RuskieTitan
Take their first round pick. That'll stop Atlanta from pulling these shenanigans again, as well as serve as a warning to the rest of the league.

So that's not gonna happen.
RuskieTitan
Just now, scar988 said: https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-fines-steelers-tomlin-for-violating-injury-report-policy-0ap3000001072031 Precedent is basically set as a $75k fine for the team and $25k fine for the coach. So that's not gonna happen. So the precedent was set, and teams continue to skirt the rule. Would justify rising the penalty to a level that prevents it from occuring again. If the Steelers were hit with a 1st round pick, I doubt Atlanta would have done this. Then again, maybe they would still, but at least they'd know the risks.

I dunno...I think @RuskieTitan might have a point here. And if it ends up being a top-5 pick, that will teach the rest of the league even harder not to challenge the NFL's authority.
