CriminalMind
It’s fair to say we still don’t know what the ceiling for this team is. The defence appears to be getting better. The offence likely appears to theoretically have a higher ceiling with a fully duel threat QB. OL is much stronger compared to that first 4 games. Addison is now a bonefided stud, cementing this team to have the top overall receiving threats. The run game is still being worked on, but I think the holes could get bigger since defences need to think more with Dobbs. Fully expect a playoff spot, and we’ll need to win road playoff games vs either Philly or SF to continue on with upwards progression if this were to be Flores only year in Minny

SemperFeist
The loss to the Bucs, and maybe even the full 0-3 start, should be a lesson for O’Connell that the preseason is there for a reason.

swede700
I've said before that I'm not a huge fan of the starters not getting any preseason action at all because it generally leads to really slow starts. It doesn't have to be the old way of one drive, one quarter, one half plus, but they should get at least one quarter of action in the preseason...just to knock the rust off and go game-speed. I'd certainly like the idea of getting one quarter of action in one of the games and then just have the joint practices in the other two (until we get the 18-game season when there will only be 2 preseason games).

vike daddy
for what it's worth (and it ain't much) most oddsmakers now list us as having a better chance to acquire the #6 seed than the #7.

vike daddy
even at the #6 seeding, we'd still play the Lions if things started now. because they dropped to #3 after yesterday. Eagles get the playoff bye Seattle (#7) at SF (#2) Vikings (#6) at DET (#3) Cowboys (#5) at Saints (#4) Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! SemperFeist
As a fan I’d be pretty unenthusiastic about the Vikings and Detroit playing in the wildcard round. The same teams playing each other 3 times in 4 weeks seems like it would be boring.
