2023 - The Second Half

It just sucks cause, yes loosing Kirk really dampened there overall prospects on the season, but then they kept winning. Only to lose two fully winnable games.

Like yeah we've got excuses loaded up in the hopper, but in both games they had the win in hand and let it slip away... Badly

There's no question in my mind that if Kirk hadn't gotten injured, they certainly would have won those 2 games...but, they have to deal with the hand they've been dealt.  Ultimately, if they do end up making the playoffs...just as I'm sure the Packers' fans feel as well about their team, it'll be a short-lived appearance.  Like Steve says, anything could happen...but, I think we know that it won't.  🤣

Denver and Chicago were sooooooo beatable lol

Certainly they were.  But, without the #1 QB and WR, it was a lot more difficult than it should have been.  I give more credit to the Bears than the Broncos, because the Broncos played like garbage all night and were practically handed the victory.  The Bears at least played hard, even if they tried their best to keep it giving it to us.

Here’s the Vikings’ remaining schedule:

  • Week 14: at Las Vegas Raiders
  • Week 15: at Cincinnati Bengals
  • Week 16: vs. Detroit Lions
  • Week 17: vs. Green Bay Packers
  • Week 18: at Detroit Lions

Find a 3-2 win-loss mark in those five contests, and you will almost certainly find the Vikings in playoffs. Yet, after the horrid Week 13 results for Minnesota — again, without even playing — a 2-3 record probably won’t even cause scoreboard-watching in Week 18. A 2-3 record will likely condemn Minnesota to an early offseason.

Thankfully for their sake, the team’s best player will return in Week 14. Justin Jefferson missed seven games with a hamstring injury, and the Vikings finished 5-2 during that stretch, an impressive mark, to be sure. Now, Minnesota needs Jefferson to put the squad on its shoulders and win three games in the next five weeks.

Yes, it's complicated by the fact that the Packers have it pretty absurdly easy down the stretch...where the toughest game they have is against the Vikings.

If we can’t beat the Raiders, Bengals and one of Detroit (x2) or Green Bay we shouldn’t be wasting our time making the playoffs.

There isn't a lot evidence that we should take this team seriously after the loss to  Chicago to be honest.

Not that I'm hoping for losses or anything like that, I just have a different mindset going into games is all
