OkeyDoke21 Posted December 5, 2023 Share Posted December 5, 2023 (edited) Gale Sayers in '65 against SF. 9 carries, 138 yards 4tds - 2 rec, 89 yards 1 td - 5 Punt returns, 134 yards 1 td. 11 touches from scrimmage for 227 and 5 tds; 361 total yards for 6 tds. That's almost 13 yards a carry, 45 yards per reception and 27 yards per return. The goal line stopped him almost as many times as the Niners did. WR's were catching everything and his TD to an aged Walls fell straight out of heaven into Walls' arms for a TD. I know that there are a lot of career games out there, but to me, this one was very special.
