An unpopular Vikings’ opinion: trade Jefferson for a haul. We are 2+ years away from truly competing (and this can be set back indefinitely with each failed regime). We’d waste too many years of prime resource (i.e., 2024 JJ, 2025 JJ, etc) if we were to keep him during the lame duck years. And during these lame duck years (with JJ), we still probably won’t ever pick top 7, so getting a top QB prospect. To get one, we’d need to get worse by trading him AND getting the extra resources. And this is independent of JA. I don’t feel strongly about him, negatively or positively. But he wouldn’t affect my plans for JJ, regardless. Forge Posted December 16, 2023 Share Posted December 16, 2023 The only way I'm trading Jefferson is if it involves a the ability to acquire a potential franchise QB. Parity rules the NFL and it's almost impossible to think outside of anything beyond a 3 year window.
