EaglesPeteC
Source confirms Desai is no longer the DC  🫠 from Jeff McClain “Sean Desai is no longer the #Eagles DC and has been replaced by Matt Patricia, an #Eagles source confirms @JayGlazer report. Desai will remain on staff in another role. Nick Sirianni shakes up his staff after two poor defensive performances.”

AZ_Eaglesfan
I’m glad they are moving on from Desai, but I can’t feel much confidence in giving the job to Patricia lol. Guess we will see tomorrow night if this is the right call. I have a hard time believing he is worse that Desai.

EaglesPeteC
They lose 2 games and have the energy of a 4-9 team. Cool

Cool I’d rather have them make moves like this rather than being complacent. This is typically one of the weaknesses of this team is they are very complacent with mediocrity out of loyalty. Desai has been a problem for since the Washington game, this is about more than 2 games.  Now is the replacement any better? I have my doubts. Just happy that Desai isn’t the guy running the show now he was awful.
Daimonas
I'm just gonna shut my eyes and cross my fingers that matt patricia is one of those failed head coaches turned great permanent coordinator type moments i guess.
RandyMossIsBoss
I like it. Our window is right now so if something isn’t working, may as well make changes. Not expecting much to change but if there’s even a chance, it’s worth it.
Jroc04
Not like Patricia instills any confidence but we don’t have time to screw around and hope Desai figures it out. If we were a rebuilding team, sure. But you can’t be bottom 2-3 of major defensive categories and continue to do the same **** in and out every game. Changes had to be made.  Anyone have any insight on Patricia’s defensive scheming?
Danger
Realistically... It can't be any worse. I've never seen a team with this much talent on defense, defend so poorly.
Jroc04
Honestly, if we weren’t completely atrocious on 3rd downs, I would ride it out. But it’s just unforgivable.

EaglesPeteC
“To recap: The Eagles had Dennard Wilson as an obvious in-house, player-endorsed DC candidate … and fired him … so they could hire Sean Desai and replace him in season with Matt Patricia.”
