BDL Discussion Thread 2024

Sorry for the late response I just got back from vacation.

We just go by games played to make it simple in the BDL. I had Geno Stone his rookie year and he was inactive for almost all his games and spent most of the year on the PS.

He accrued 0 stats in 2020 per ESPN. And his wiki page shows that he played in 2 games in 2020 likely on Special Teams. I wouldn't consider that an accrued season.

This is pretty much what we determined on Discord but agreed that it's something we should clarify in the rules either over the summer or after next season.

I think we only agreed that Caden Sterns was a RFA

You get to the point where if you count it for one guy,  where is the line drawn.

I don’t believe injuries should count into the equation… as I’m guessing a majority will pass that vote.   If Stone is a RFA this year, Sterns is a ERFA and so forth.

He’s not… he has a new contract

Ahh but luckily he had the one season where he didn't reach the six game benchmark so I can use the RFA tag. Life is grand over here

Unfortunately not because he has a contract extension and thus is no longer on his rookie deal

This does not matter. By our rules he is eligible based on years of service.  I could have used Herberts fifth year option and not the three up this year if I wanted to even though they renegotiated it or would you like to go back, use burrows fifth year and have to three up him next year at that price

Correct on both counts.
