Also curious if they make a run at Noah Elliss who was cut by the Eagles recently, he is a great developmental NT and I would not mind him on the practice squad. Agreed on the Gallup point. He'd be a great WR3 and also if Jefferson has hamstring issues again this season he could even be a WR2 if his form even slightly returns to his peak from a few years ago. Only 29 years old and would slot in perfectly behind Jefferson and Addison Boyd is looking for 9Mil a year. The Steelers offered 2 years 5Mil/. https://steelersnow.com/pittsburgh-steelers-tyler-boyd-expected-to-make-fa-following-draft/ He's probably too expensive for us. I think he goes to the Steelers and is given a starter spot.

He'll be in the maybe $6M range and the Vikings still have plenty of cap space to accommodate that. And Gallup would be a WR4 in this offense, not WR3. Even Osborn produced more than Gallup has over the last 3 years. I expected more production from Gallup after 2019 and 2020, yet, he regressed and has plateaued since then. $3M might even be too much for him. Would probably get more production out of Powell at a $1M less.

swede700
He should just ask Dalton Risner how humbling it is to not get what you expect to in the market. In Boyd's case, it's supply vs. demand. With all the WRs coming out in the draft that are ready to play, it drives down the prices for those in his situation, because he's not a #1 WR.
meixdaddy_10
That $16.6 million isnt factoring in draft picks being signed though, right? That would put us closer to $5 or 6 million one completed? Obviously we could make some restructures/extensions that would create cap space, but assuming we make no other moves that is what we would be looking at?

Factoring in the draft class, they still have $11M in cap space.

swede700
He ended up only getting $4.5M from the Titans. So, if the Vikings are interested in upgrading the WR3 position, now the best players available are guys like Hunter Renfrow, Allen Robinson, Russell Gage and Michael Thomas. We better take a chance on Hunter Renfrow. He’s better than Powell, Sherfield and Nailor combined. We can have him for cheap as Tyler Boyd and OBJ just signed $4 million deals. I just don’t feel comfortable with Powell, Sherfield and Nailor, who had 40 receptions combined last year. Renfrow had 103 catches two seasons ago, and he’s still in his prime. We better get him. Also Greg Van Roten and Dalton Risner are still available. Are we really going to stick with Brandel at LG?
SteelKing728
We could sign Michael Thomas and have him exclusively run slant routes lol
